Ronda Rousey revealed the birth and name of her first daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne, tonight via Instagram:
Rousey last performed for WWE at Wrestlemania 36, headlining against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in East Rutherford, NJ.
WWE President Nick Khan stated during a podcast appearance on Colin Cowherd's in April that Rousey would be returning to WWE.
Last June, PWInsider.com broke that UFC Hall of Famer and former Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey was in the middle of production for her new ESPN+ series. The series, Peyton's Places, was originally designed to a purely a football-themed documentary series hosted and named for legendary quarterback Peyton Manning. Disney announced last December that the series would expand to tell the stories of other sports with Rousey among those who will be hosting and taking part.
PWInsider.com later confirmed that Rousey filmed material with both Paul Heyman and D-Von Dudley in Philadelphia, discussing the extreme history of pro wrestling in Philadelphia. D-Von has been a regular on Rousey's YouTube channel while Heyman worked closely with Rousey during her WWE run. We are told the filming inside the Arena included a wrestling ring from The Monster Factory (which is located in nearby Paulsboro, NJ) as well as a number of "weapons" as part of the set decoration. Rousey also filmed in Pittsburgh with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. There is no announced timetable when Rousey's series will debut on Disney's ESPN+ subscription service.
PWInsider.com sends our best to Rousey, her husband Travis Browne and their entire extended family!
