By Richard Trionfo on 2021-09-26 18:59:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s live coverage of the Extreme Rules Pay Per View.

We are in Columbus, Ohio and your host is Kayla Braxton.  She is joined by Booker T, Kevin Patrick, John Layfield, and Peter Rosenberg.

We have a video package for the Smackdown Women's Title Match.

Sonya Deville joins the panel.

Kayla asks Sonya about Naomi before talking about the match.

Sonya says people thinks she has an issue with Naomi but if you tried to disrespect authority like Naomi does, I would have an issue with you.  If Adam Pearce will allow that behavior, I will not allow it.  She says WWE officials need to be treated with respect.

Kayla asks where they think this match is going.

Sonya says Becky thinks she is setting a great example for women in coming back and winning so fast.  She says she is not buying the 'I'm not ready' excuse.  Peter says everyone freaked out when Bianca lost in 26 seconds, but she saw something different from Bianca.  He asks Booker if a loss like that makes you better.  Booker says the first one to throw a punch is the first to run out of ideas.  He says Bianca better have everything right.  John agrees with Booker.  He says that Becky is using mind games.  Bianca should have said no and let her wait.

Kayla mentions that Bianca looked like a fan when Becky returned.

Booker says Becky had more than 9 months to calculuate when she would come back and how she would do it.  John says Bianca is a once in a generation performer.  Bianca was naive.

We are back with a look at how Big E won the WWE Championship and the celebration last week on Raw.

Sarah Schrieber are in the back waiting for the New Day but AJ Styles and Omos show up and AJ says they should be talking about him.

The New Day arrive and Kofi says that AJ isn't on the show.

Bobby Lashley attacks Big E while Omos, AJ, Woods, and Kofi brawl.

Officials show up and separate them.

Peter says Bobby Lashley was scary when he had the title and he will be scarier without the title.

Kevin says that AJ and Omos are also scarier without the titles.

We take a look at the match between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus to set up the Triple Threat match.

Kayla says that Damian Priest has talked about how much he respects Jeff Hardy.

Kevin says that Damian has been impressive but he can lose without being involved.  John says that Sheamus and Priest don't like each other and it could be ripe for Hardy to sneak in and win the title.  Booker says he respects Bret Hart but he would never tell him in a combat situation.  John says someone like Hardy is dangerous.

Kayla asks for predictions.  Peter picks Priest.  John picks Hardy.  Kevin picks Sheamus.  Booker says if Sheamus is focused, he will win.

We are told that there is going to be a Six Man Tag Match added to the pay per view.  Bobby Lashley will team with AJ Styles and Omos to face the New Day.

Booker says that Big E has to stop helping Kofi and Xavier while he is the champion and he needs to focus on himself.

Peter says that Big E has to keep his head on a swivel for Lashley but he cannot forget the rest of the New Day.  Kayla says we don't have to split up the New Day again.  Booker says that he is speaking from experience.  He says he had to focus on being the champion.  John says Xavier and Kofi need to be there to support Big E.

We take a look at what happened to Montez Ford on Smackdown.

We see the Street Profits arriving at the building.  Montez says things didn't go his way on Friday but tonight is a different night.  He says they are not planning on leaving without the titles.  He wants to make sure that Angelo is on the same page.  Angelo says he has Montez' back.  Angelo says it is convenient you tried to jump his boy three on one, but tonight they want the smoke.

Booker says Montez was different than he usually is.  He said the beating did something to him and you will see a different Montez Ford tonight.  Peter says you don't get this opportunity all the time.  Booker asks Angelo if he should have been with his partner on Friday.  That is on Angelo.  John says Ricky and Robert were partners while Booker and Stevie were brothers.

We move on to the Raw Women's Title Match with a video package.

We see Charlotte Flair arriving at the building in a limo.

Sonya rejoins the panel to talk the Raw Women's Title Match.

Kevin asks why is this match a different challenge for Charlotte.  Sonya says Charlotte isn't into the antics of Alexa.  Charlotte is used to the athletics while Alexa is trying to use these antics to get into her head.  Peter says Alexa is twisted but she is a former champion.  Peter says he is excited to see them in the ring since it has been a while.  Sonya says this is the most intense Alexa has been.  Kayla asks if Charlotte is working the mind games by humanizing Alexa.  John says Charlotte is trying to take that extra dimension away from Alexa.  Booker says Charlotte will walk in the ring like she talks.

Match Number One: Liv Morgan versus Carmella

Before the match, Carmella takes the mic and she says asks Liv if she knows what she did by sending her face into the turnbuckles.  I am the most beautiful woman in WWE and this face is her fortune.  It is her greatest asset.  It opens doors for her and makes money for her.  None of you can relate to that because you are not that beautiful.  This face is what separates me from ugly people like you.  That is why you attacked my face.  You should be ashamed of yourself.  Carmella says she is hot and Liv is not.

Liv attacks Carmella from behind before the bell rings.

The match starts and Carmella tries to get out of the ring.  Liv with a matrix to avoid Carmella.  Carmella with a kick but Liv with an Irish whip and hip into the corner.  Liv misses a splash into the corner but she tries to send Carmella into the turnbuckles but Carmella blocks it.  Liv with a drop kick to the back and Carmella goes to the floor.  Carmella trips Liv on the apron and then Carmella with a kick to Liv.  Carmella gets a near fall.  Carmella with an elbow in the corner and then she hits a Bronco Buster.  Carmella gets a near fall and then applies a reverse chin lock.

We return to the panel.

John says it is great to be back with the crowds.

We take a look at the Universal Championship Match with a video package.

Sarah Schreiber is with Paul Heyman and she asks him about whether Roman is taking the Demon more seriously.  Paul wants to know who hired Sarah and he says that is the stupidest question he ever heard.  Even Kayla wouldn't ask that question.

Paul says Sarah is right that they overlooked the Demon.  Roman has been a horrible champion for 400 days.  Paul says he hopes that Roman shows up tonight.  They should put former champion on Roman's graphic because we know The Demon is going to win.  Paul says that Roman Reigns will go on to Crown Jewel as the champion.

Peter says Paul is right.  Roman is on top of his game and he is the best in the world right now.  Kevin wonders when was the last time that Roman had three matches in a week.  Booker says that is what champions do.  For Finn to tap into his inner Demon, he will be throwing all caution to the wind.  Booker says he hopes that Roman is a merciful chief.  John says Roman is the best of this generation and Paul is the greatest manager.  John says Paul is worried about the Demon.  The Demon brings something that the analytics do not cover.  Peter says there are a lot of variables.
