AEW STAR PAYS TRIBUTE TO HIS MOTHER AFTER RAMPAGE GOES OFF THE AIR, COMPLETE TRANSCRIPT

By Mike Johnson on 2021-09-25 01:30:00

After AEW Rampage went off the air in New York City at this past Wednesday's taping, Eddie Kingston bid his New York City crowd farewell on behalf of the company with the following impassioned speech where he called out his mother, who was in attendance:

"I love you New York.  I'm so proud of each and every one of you.  Ladies and gentlemen, my mentor, my hero, The Notorious 187, Homicide!  Jon Moxley!  Mom!  Mom, I know you're here.  Thank you for putting up with me.  I love you ma!  I love you!  Marc Gordon, rest in peace!  I miss you Uncle Kevin, rest in peace!  Guess what though, I feel nice, I don't give a f*** about the time.

Before certain people got here, we sold this mother out....hold on...and we put our flag down in New York, in dirt.  With those people that just joined us, we re-took our flag and put it in cement!  New York is now AEW's town!"

AEW then sent NYC home, playing Frank Sinatra's New York, New York as fans exited the building, the same song that traditionally plays in Yankee Stadium after The New York Yankees win a game.
