MLW FUSION ALPHA REPORT: TJP VS RICHARDS, TOM LAWLOR MEETS CESAR DURAN, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2021-09-22 22:42:00

We start off with Cesar Duran and he welcomes everyone to a new era of MLW. An era of violence. An era of Super Luchas. Tonight, you will see the return of the Wolf when Davey Richards faces TJP. Those are two violent men. You will also see Team Filthy face the Von Erichs in a Bunkhouse Brawl.

We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Jared St. Laurent.

Tom Lawlor gets on the mic before our opening match.

Tom says it feels so good to be . . . he says not to try to ruin his night. He has been waiting for 16 months to get back in front of a real crowd. Now that he looks around, he is still waiting. You couldn’t see that joke if you took a look in the mirror. It is just like the last time we were here. Team Filthy will be running the show. You don’t deserve to see Team Filthy. You don’t deserve to see the 2020 Opera Cup. You don’t deserve to see the most legitimate son of Lance Von Erich . . . Rip Von Erich. You don’t deserve to see a real killer like Kevin Ku take out the Von Erichs.

Don’t boo us. We are just like your home town heroes. He says they are just like Ben Simmons. They are going to tank it at the free throw line so we can get out of here and go to a real town.

He hopes that Davey doesn’t quit before he gets to the ring. TJP says Davey was a globetrotter in the past, but TJP says he is a globetrotter. Davey is coming off a long layoff while TJP says he is the hardest working competitor in the business. Someone said that fights are in the gym, not in the ring but that is wrong. You can earn a degree just by watching my matches.

TJP says social media is pulling for Davey not because they like him, but because they like him more than TJP. That is fine because he does not like them. They are like oil and water in the ring. He says Davey is an expert at a lot of things, including quitting. TJP says he is a submission technician so he is looking forward to Davey tapping out.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to see the Women’s Featherweight Division. The Sea Stars, Brittany Blake, Holidead, Zoey Skye, Willow Nightingale, and Nicole Savoy are going to be members of the division.

You think you can beat the World Champion Jacob Fatu? Typical American arrogance in its purest form. This won’t be a title fight. This will be a war zone. You won’t be going home with two titles. You will be going home in a body bag.

We go to comments from Davey Richards.

MLW has the best talent so that is where I want to be. TJP and Davey Richards is a long story. He says TJP was one of his trainers in New Japan. It is an honor to be able to wrestle him, but my job is to beat him. TJP is flashy while I am gritty, but we both fight hard. There is spirit, passion, and intensity.

Tom Lawlor enters and he says that he hears that Cesar is the new matchmaker. He says he has dealt with the biggest scumbags on this planet, the biggest lowlife promoters on the planet. I have dealt with Dana White. There is no way you are going to step in here and take from my livelihood. You are not going to change who gets the title matches and who is on top.

Duran says he has looked forward to meeting Tom and he hugs Tom. He says Filthy Tom Lawlor understands violence and spectacle. He understands victory.

Tom points out he is the only grand slam winner.
