It's Wednesday night, and that means Tony Khan is letting himself into Vince McMahon's house, putting his feet up on on the coffee table and daring the "King" to come at him. We are LIVE from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY and, I gotta say, this building looks great! Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur have the call for what may prove to be the biggest night wrestling has seen in a long time,  We're wasting exactly zero time.

Non Title: Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson

The crowd is more than a little excited.  Stare down between the two.  Lockup, Omega with a chop, Danielson shrugs it off.  Lockup, Yes kick by Danielson, Omega is angry.  Lockup, arm twist by Danielson, Omega reverses it and takes his opponent down.  Kick in the ropes by Danielson, Omega goes outside to walk it off.  Lockup, side headlock by Omega. Onega with a shoulder tackle, Omega evades Danielson and kicks him to the corner.  Omega celebrates.  Test of strength, Danielson rolls through and bends the fingers back.  Arm twist by the American Dragon and fires chops and kicks in the corner.  Omega with chops of his own. Yes kicks by Danielson and backdrops Omega over the top.  Tope Suicida by Danielson.  Omega gets thrown into the post, shoulder first.  Knee off the top to Omega's arm. Danielson tries to apply the LeBell Lock.  Omega blocks it.  Stomp by Danielson, he wrenches the arm hard but Omega goes tot he eyes.  Omega with chops.  Into the buckles goes Danielson.  Omega stomps him down in the corner.  

Chop by Omega.  Another.  Another.  Danielson fires up.  Danielson with chops of his own. Omega with a kick to the spine.  Omega with kicks to the back.  Elbow strike by Omega and a running kick.  Omega keeping the pressure.  Danielson with open palm strikes and chops of his own.  Thumb to the eye.  Danielson gets his knees up on a moonsault.  Chops and kicks by Danielson.  Running hammer by Danielson, his chest is raw.  Running knee and Yes kicks by Danielson. Top rope rana by Danielson for his first 2 count.  

Omega misses a charge but nails a standing rana, Danielson rolls out.  Tope con hilo by Omega. Queens thinks this is awesome. They trade rollups and Danielson with a back chancery. Omega makes the ropes and rolls out.  Knee strike off the top by Danielson.  Yes kicks on the ramp by Danielson. Omega blocks the last one and hits a snap dragon on the ramp.

This is awesome.

On the ramp Omega gets a running start and hits a running V Trigger as we go to commercial.

We're back and Omega stands tall nails a buckle bomb.  Omega to the top and nails a dropkick to the back for 2.  Omega is not happy with Paul Turner.  Danielson rolls him up for 2. Back head kick by Omega. V Trigger by Omega.  Omega sets him up on the top.  Danielson blocks the snap dragon and slips out.  Avalanche Belly to Back by Danielson.  Both men are down.  Rights hands by Omega.  Danielson fires back.  Rolling elbow by Danielson.  Fisherman Hook by Danielson for 2.

Fight Forever.

Danielson to the top but Omega knocks him down and this time his the snap dragon off the top for 2.  V Trigger by Omega.  Danielson counters the OWA with a reverse rana.  Omega misses the V Trigger and a Yes kick by Danielson.  Omega counters the knee with a powerbomb and a V Trigger for 2.  Omega misses the Phoenix Splash.  Kicks by Danielson.  Now they exchange strikes. Down goes Omega from a kick.  Danielson stomps Omega and tries the LeBell Lock.  Omega makes the ropes.  They trade knees and elbows. Both men are down.  Headbutts by both men.  They trade strikes as the bell rings, ending the best AEW match I've ever seen.

RESULT: DRAW

The Elite come out to tend to Omega

 

The Elite now turn their attention to Danielson until Jurassic Express and Christian Cage make the save.  

All I can say: Wow!

And here comes CM Punk to the ring ahead of Friday's match with Powerhouse Hobbs.  He's glad he's not wrestling tonight. How do you follow that? Punk says it's been a long time since professional wrestling has been back in NYC.  Punk is none too happy about being put through a table last week but the pissed off feeling goes away due to the love fest he feels.  Team Taz tried to take away the happy CM Punk from what he loves.  Angry Punk comes out as Team Taz tried to take everything away from him.  Their mistake was letting him live.  He's ready to put Hobbs to sleep.

MJF w/Wardlow vs. Brian Pillman Jr w/Julia Hart

MJF offers a handshake, who responds with a double leg takedown and a clothesline in the corner.  Eye rake by MJF.  Arm drag and a big hip toss by Pillman.  Chop to the throat by MJF. Pillman responds with chops and kicks MJF in the head off of a backdrop attempt.  Big slap by MJF, Pillman fires back but MJF with a drop toe hold in the corner.  MJF stomps the hand and applies a wrist lock.  Sunset flip and a backslide for 2 by Pillman.  Shoulder first takedown by MJF as we go to commercial.

We're back and MJF is toying with Pillman.  MJF misses a punch and Pillman retaliates with chops and a cross body block.  Running chops and a thrust kick by Pillman.  Pillman sends him to the buckles 10x.  Powerslam for 2 by Pillman.  Pillman goes for a tope but MJF uses Hart as a shield.  Hart slaps MJF and Pillman with a dropkick.  Pillman misses a dive and MJF applies the Salt of the Earth for the tap.

WINNER: MJF

Alex Marvez is with Jake Hager and Chris Jericho ahead of their Rampage match with the Men of the Year.

Malakai Black vs. Cody Rhodes w/ Brandi Rhodes and Arn Anderson

Single Leg by Rhodes , Black takes him down and they return to a standing position and exchange forearms.  Leg sweep by Black, Rhodes bails out of the Black Mass and rolls out.  Brandi gets in Black's face and Cody attacks form behind but Black with a Octopus and a rollup for 1.  Kick by Rhodes, Cody tries to come off the top but Black nails a kick as we go to commercial.

We're back and Cody with a rollup but a Black Mass sends Cody to the outside.  He staggers to his feet, rolls in and gets covered for 2.  Chop block by Cody, he hits a dragon screw on the apron.  Cody's relentless on the leg but a back elbow by Black. Black counters a cross Rhodes and tosses Rhodes into the buckle. Cody cutter and a Cross Rhodes for 2.  Anderson is on the apron, he slips off the apron.  As Arn gets back on the apron, he gets tossed into Double A,  Cody checks on his coach but Anderson orders him to fight.

The referee gets shoved away and Black seizes the opportunity to blow Black Mist into Cody's eyes and rolls him up for the pin.

WINNER: Malakai Black

Miro vs. Sammy Guevara next week for the TNT Title next week.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. FTR w/Tully Blanchard

Dax and Allin tie up and FTR immediately double team.  Allin escapes and tags in Sting.  Sting shoves Cash Wheeler.  Dax lures Sting in and FTR double team.  The advantage doesn't last long as the icon cleans house.  Dax pulls Cash out of the way of a Stinger splash.  FTR pounds Sting in the corner.  Sting and Dax crash heads and Sting inadvertently headbutts Cash low.  Allin tags in and he goes to town on FTR, sending them to the outside.  FTR catches Allin's coffin drop attempt and send him into the apron as we go to commercial.

Back to live action, Allin is taking a pummeling but fires away in the wrong corner.  FTR barely hold Allin back but finally he makes the tag.  Spinebuster for 2 by Sting.  Back elbow by Dax. Sting shoves Cash off the top and splashes Dax for 2.  Rollup by Dax for 2. Sting sets up a Stinger Splash and hits them both.  Sting with a Scorpion Death Drop and thens sends Dax into a chair that Blanchard set up.  Sting punches Tully to the floor.  Sting with a Scorpion Leg Lock to Dax. Cash tries to pull him to the ropes but Allin nails a coffin drop. With nowhere to go, Dax Harwood taps out.

AEW World Women's Championship: Dr. Britt Baker, DMD w/Rebel & Jamie Hayter vs. Ruby Soho

You think Ruby isn't happy WWE let her go? I'd say being here in front of 20,000 on National TV is a pretty good rebound.  Lockup and this crowd is electric.  Heel trip by Ruby into a side headlock.  Baker slips out. Soho with a standing switch into a side headlock.  They miss a series of strikes but Ruby with a knee strike.  Baker rolls out and Ruby nails all 3 with a splash.  Baker with a kick and a swinging neck breaker off the apron.

We're back from commercial and Soho with double knees in the corner. Ruby with running kicks in the corner.  Forearm strike by Baker.  Ruby with a back drop but a thrust kick by Baker.  Both women are down.  They exchange forearms, headbutt by Soho into a back elbow. Baker with a Russian Leg Sweep into a Lockjaw that Soho blocks.  Slingblade by Baker and she applies the black glove.  Baker misses a stomp and Soho with a kneebar.  Catapult into the corner and Soho nails a senton for 2.  Chops by Soho but Baker with a kick and a neck breaker.  Kick to the face for 2 by the champion.  Soho with a forearm.  Britt blocks a suplex.  Avalanche Air Raid by Baker for 2.  Baker with a stomp onto the steps.  Soho rolls in and eats a stomp in the middle for 2.  Soho with sole food.  Rebel tries to help but she eats some sole food.  Hayter with a hangman on the top rope.  Baker applies the lockjaw and Soho has to tap out.
