A pair of legendary mixed martial arts and professional wrestling figures could finally clash for the first time next month, as Mark Coleman has offered to face Josh Barnett at Game Changer Wrestling’s upcoming Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7 show on Friday, October 22 in the Ukrainian Culture Center in Los Angeles, California.
Barnett teased an upcoming announcement on Twitter last night, to which Coleman responded suggesting a match between the two icons with headbutts legal.
Barnett replied: “I normally try not to get my ass kicked Coleman, but if I could score that clean takedown on you finally…”

Barnett and Coleman were two of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s stars in the company’s early days. Coleman was the first man to hold the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 1997, while Barnett was the seventh champion in 2002. Both men also forayed into Japanese wrestling in the early 2000s.
Calvin Tankman, Killer Kelly, Marina Shafir and Minoru Suzuki are among the names already confirmed to compete at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7. Tickets are available here.
