The final show of block competition will take place on September 26 in Korakuen Hall. The tournament semifinals (A block winner versus B block winner and C block winner versus D block winner) and final will take place at NOAH’s show on October 3 in Korakuen Hall.

If Kaito Kiyomiya defeats or draws with Keiji Mutoh, he will win A block with six or five points and an undefeated 3-0 or 2-0-1 record. However, if Mutoh defeats Kiyomiya then he will win A block with five points.

If Masaaki Mochizuki defeats or draws with Kenoh, he will win B block with six or five points and an undefeated 3-0 or 2-0-1 record.

If Kenoh defeats Mochizuki and Kendo Kashin defeats Daiki Inaba, there will be a three-way tie at the top of B block as Kashin defeated Kenoh but lost to Mochizuki, Kenoh lost to Kashin but defeated Mochizuki and Mochizuki defeated Kashin but lost to Kenoh.

If Kenoh defeats Mochizuki and Kashin draws with or loses to Inaba, Kenoh will win B block with four points as he would have the head-to-head tiebreaker against Mochizuki.

If Kazushi Sakuraba defeats Katsuhiko Nakajima and Masato Tanaka defeats Kotaro Suzuki, Sakuraba and Tanaka will finish tied at the top of C block with five points.

If Sakuraba defeats Nakajima and Tanaka draws with Suzuki or Sakuraba draws with Nakajima and Tanaka loses to Suzuki, Sakuraba will win C block with one more point than Tanaka. Obviously, the same situation applies with Sakuraba and Tanaka’s results reversed to allow Tanaka to win C block with one more point than Sakuraba.

If Nakajima defeats Sakuraba and Tanaka loses to Suzuki, Nakajima will win C block with four points. However, if Nakajima defeats Sakuraba and Tanaka draws with Suzuki then Tanaka will win C block as Tanaka has the head-to-head tiebreaker against Nakajima.

The winner of Kazuyuki Fujita versus Masakatsu Funaki will win D block. If the match ends in a draw, Fujita and Funaki will finish tied at the top of D block with five points.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis (Aussie Open) aligned with New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar Will Ospreay and joined his United Empire faction at British promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling’s show last night in York Hall.

New Japan fans will remember the team from the company’s Royal Quest show in August 2019 in London, when Aussie Open unsuccessfully challenged Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa for the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

Aussie Open are one of the best tag teams in the world and would be a fantastic addition to New Japan’s roster someday, and one has to imagine joining United Empire is a step closer to doing so.

The team had previously been close to joining the company in 2019, according to a source familiar with plans at the time, but Davis suffered a long-term knee injury and the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic started soon after.

Also on the show, Shota Umino defeated Dan Moloney and Yota Tsuji defeated Ring of Honor’s Mark Haskins. Tsuji debuted a new attire.

Elsewhere, New Japan’s Minoru Suzuki will face Nick Gage at Game Changer Wrestling’s War Ready show on October 23 in the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California. Tickets are available here.

All Japan Pro Wrestling

All Japan Pro Wrestling will hold a show tomorrow in Korakuen Hall.

The full card is:

• Dan Tamura, Hikaru Sato and Shotaro Ashino vs. Izanagi, Masanobu Fuchi and TAJIRI

• World Junior Heavyweight Championship: SUGI (c) vs. Yusuke Kodama
• Kento Miyahara vs. Zeus
• Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: Jake Lee (c) vs. SUWAMA

SUGI will attempt his second defense of the World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Yusuke Kodama.

Jake Lee will attempt his second defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Royal Road tournament winner SUWAMA in the main event.

Before the main event, however, Kento Miyahara and Zeus will meet in a singles match to determine the next challenger for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship. With All Japan’s show on October 16 in Ota City General Gymnasium looming, one has to assume the winner of Miyahara versus Zeus will challenge Lee or SUWAMA for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship on October 16.
