NJPW STRONG REPORT: A TABLES MATCH, A TANAHASHI MATCH, AND ISHII VERSUS COUGHLIN

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono and Satoshi Kojima (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Tomohiro Ishii versus Alex Coughlin

They lock up and Ishii is able to back Alex into the corner but Alex with a forearm on the break. Ishii misses a forearm and Alex with another forearm. Alex with more forearms and Ishii with a shoulder tackle. Alex with a forearm and he bounces off Ishii. Alex with a forearm and Ishii with a shoulder tackle. Ishii with chops and Alex with forearms. Alex with more forearms and Ishii stands there until he sends Alex to the mat with a forearm.

Ishii with a chop and Alex falls into the ropes. Ishii with more chops. Ishii sends Alex into the corner and he chops Alex a few more times. Alex with forearms and Ishii with chops to send Alex to the mat. Ishii with slaps and an Irish whip but Alex with a drop kick. Alex follows with a flying shoulder tackle. Alex with a shoulder into the corner and he connects with more shoulders and an elbow off the turnbuckles. Alex with a gutwrench suplex for a near fall.

Alex tries for a slam but Ishii blocks it. Ishii gets to his feet and he chops Alex and adds some forearms to the attack. Ishii with a Saito suplex for a near fall. Ishii with a suplex and he kicks Alex in the back and chest many times. Alex with a chop and belly-to-back suplex, Alex with a clothesline but Ishii does not budge. Ishii comes off the ropes and Alex with a clothesline followed by a bridging fallaway slam for a near fall.

Alex with a waist lock but Ishii with elbows. Alex with forearms. Ishii with a forearm and they go back and forth. Alex slaps Ishii and then hits a spear for a near fall. Alex with a waist lock but Ishii blocks a German suplex attempt. Ishii with a standing switch and German suplex. Ishii with a clothesline for a near fall. Ishii with a brainbuster for the three count.

Winner: Tomohiro Ishii

 

Match Number Two: Bateman, Misterioso, and Barrett Brown versus Clark Connors, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Karl Fredericks

The crowd wants Tanahashi to start but Fredericks starts things off against Misterioso. They lock up and Misterioso with a wrist lock and take down. Fredericks with a reversal. Misterioso with a reversal and side head lock and take down. Frederixks with a head scissors and Misterioso escapes. Fredericks with a side head lock take down and Misterioso with a head scissors and Fredericks escapes. Misterioso with a knee to the midsection and kick to the back. Misterioso with shoulders in the corner and Bateman tags in and knocks Connors and Tanahashi off the apron. Bateman with an elbow and Misterioso goes to the apron and sends Fredericks to the mat with an enzuigiri for Brown to hit a drop kick for a near fall. Brown with forearms and chops. Fredericks with a cross body and kick to the back. Connors tags in and Fredericks with a kick. Brown with a side head lock and shoulder tackle but Connors stays on his feet and he tells him to try again. Brown with the same result. Brown returns to the side head lock and Connors with a shoulder tackle. Connors with a suplex and Brown rolls away. Brown with a thumb to the eyes. Brown tries to suplex Connors into the corner but Connors with a suplex of his own. All six men get into the ring but Tanahashi and Fredericks take care of Bateman and Misterioso. They Irish whip Brown into the corner and Tanahashi with a splash followed by a shoulder from Connors. Connors with a suplex and then Fredericks and Tanahashi with a double elbow drop and some air guitar. Connors gets a near fall.

Connors with a chop to Brown and European uppercut. Misterioso with a kick to the back and Connors misses a punch but Bateman punches Connors and Connors knocks Bateman off the apron. Misterioso grabs the leg and Brown with a drop kick into the corner followed by a suplex into the turnbuckles. Bateman tags in and hits a knee drop. Bateman with a knee to the back. Bateman with an elbow to the jaw for a near fall. Bateman with a forearm and Misterioso tags in and he kicks Connors. Misterioso with shoulders in the corner and he kicks Connors. Misterioso with a drop kick into the corner for a near fall.

Misterioso with a reverse chin lock and Brown tags in. Brown with a forearm to the back and another forearm. Connors with forearms but Brown with chops. Brown with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Brown chokes Connors. Bateman tags in and he punches Connors. Bateman mocks Tanahashi and Connors with a kick to Bateman and elbows to knock Misterioso and Brown to the floor. Bateman with a double thrust to Connors. Bateman with a crossface into a rear chin lock.

Connors with a belly-to-back suplex and before Connors can make the tag, Brown and Misterioso pull Tanahashi and Fredericks off the apron. Bateman with an elbow drop to Connors followed by head butts. Bateman slaps Connors and connects with a forearm. Bateman with a doubel thrust to the throat and Connors with a power slam. Tanahashi tag in and he connects with punches and forearms. Tanahashi with a flying forearm to Bateman and then he slams Brown and Misterioso and follows with a double elbow drop. Tanahashi with punches to Bateman and an Irish whip. Tanahashi blocks a kick and hits a dragon screw leg whip. Bateman with a boot to the head and a kick to the back. Brown tags in and connects with forearms. Brown with an Irish whip and Tanahashi with an elbow and cross body. Fredericks tags in and Brown with a flatliner for a near fall. Bateman chops Fredericks and then Fredericks is Irish whipped into the corner. Brown with an elbow and Misterioso with a splash into the corner. Bateman sends Fredericks face first into the mat and Brown gets a near fall.

Fredericks with a European uppercut but Brown with a flying boot as he comes off the ropes. Connors with a spear to Brown. Misterioso with a super kick to Connors. Tanahashi with Slingblade to Misterioso. Bateman with a rolling elbow to Tanahashi. Fredericks with an enzuigiri to Bateman and everyone is down. Fredericks and Brown exchange foearms and Brown with strikes but Fredericks with a forearm. Brown with a spinning back fist but Fredericks with a spinebuster for a near fall. Fredericks with an Impaler DDT for the three count.

Winners: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Karl Fredericks, and Clark Connors

After the match, Fredericks, Connors, and Tanahashi head to the back, but Fredericks returns to the ring to address the crowd.

Fredericks mentions Will Ospreay. Let’s talk about the absolute prick you have become since turning your new leaf. The more I watch you, it is obvious that this asshole running around this place was the real Will Ospreay. The other people agree but while they want to punch you in the face, I can. You want to talk about my family. I have been raised in this city by a killer. I am not the young boy you knew 18 months ago, I am a killer. Put all of that money where your mouth is. Defend your title against me because I am first in line. When you are ready to man up, we can run it. I will beat the brakes off your ass.

Before Fredericks can leave the ring, Will Ospreay makes his way to the stage.

Ospreay puts his title belt down and he takes off his jacket. Ospreay makes his way to the ring.

They have some words but we cannot hear what they say.

Ospreay swings at Fredericks but misses. Will and Karl exchange punches. Ospreay sends Fredericks into the turnbuckles but Fredericks with a double leg take down and punches. Karl kicks Will in the head and connects with a number of forearms. Ospreay kicks Fredericks in the knee and Ospreay with a running forearm to the back of the neck.

Ospreay takes the mic and says that Fredericks has some stones. He tells Fredericks that he will see him in Dallas.

We go to the Cleaning and Disinfection Break.

Match Number Three: Hikuleo versus Juice Robinson in a Tables Match

Robinson goes after Hikuleo as he enters the ring. Robinson with punches to Hikuleo. Robinson goes to the turnbuckles and he punche Hikuleo. Hikuleo grabs Robinson for a power bomb but Robinson escapes and he kicks Hikuleo low. Robinson with a back senton and Hikuleo rolls to the floor in some pain. Hikuleo hot shots Roblnson and kicks him. Hikuleo sets up a table on the floor. Hikuleo tries to slam Robinson through the table but Robinson sends Hikuelo into the ring post. Robinson puts Hikuleo on the table but Hikuleo gets to his feet and Robinson with a cannonball off the apron.

Robinson adjusts the table on the floor and he tries to suplex Hikuleo through the table but Hikuleo blocks it. Hikuleo tries to suplex Robinson but Robinson gets to his feet. Hikuleo blocks a power bomb and gives Robinson a back body drop on the floor. Hikuleo puts a table in the ring and he chokes Robinson on the floor.

Hikuleo brings another table into the ring and then he tries to bring a third table into the ring but Robinson with a baseball slide into the table to knock Hikuleo down on the floor. Robinson with a pescado onto Hikuleo. Robinson sends Hikuleo back into the ring and Robinson goes up top. Hikuleo grabs Robinson and he press slams Robinson onto the bottom of the table. Hikuleo sets up a table in the corner and puts Robinson against it.

Hikuleo sets for a spear but Robinson moves and Hikuleo sends himself through the table, so the match continues. Robinson sets up the table but he continues to hold his elbow. Juice with a punch and Hikuleo falls onto the table. Robinson goes up top for a back senton through the table but Hikuleo moves and Robinson bounces off the table. Hikuleo picks up Robinson and hits a Death Valley Driver through the table.

Winner: Hikuleo
