I am going to AEW in Queens and was wondering what the merchandise stand will look like compared to WWE? What are we looking at here?
Well, I kept an eye out at last night's event in Newark since you sent this question. They had a lot of t-shirt designs for the company and CM Punk as well as DVDs of previous events and signed AEW action figures all for sale last night. I would assume NYC will have similar merchandise.
I don't get the entire rubbing the facepaint off angle with Sting and Darby Allin last night. It was facepaint, so what?
I didn't hear the commentary as I was at the taping, but my feeling watching it was that FTR and Tully attacked their dignity and denigrated them by disrespecting the paint, which is such a big part of Allin and Sting's identities. It was a good way to set a grudge match for next week in NYC in my mind.
Where are the Pinnacle and The Inner Circle lately?
I think AEW is just giving them a rest. There's no reason the different members can't be off on their own journey and then reassemble when they are needed for a big storyline moment. Every member of the Avengers isn't in every specific Marvel movie featuring a member of the team.
Is there anything to the rumor that Ivan Putski passed away?
Nothing to that rumor. In fact, Bill Apter just spoke with Putski to clarify all is well, which I am glad to hear as he was my Grandmother's favorite wrestler:
Where was Raquel Gonzalez vs. Franky Monet on WWE NXT?
We are told it was likely bumped back to next week due to wanting to focus on the new direction and characters, but obviously that's not 100% set in stone. There were a lot of changes to the plans for the episode over the last week.
