All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced Koji Iwamoto has recovered from COVID-19 and will return to in-ring action at its show on September 16 in Yokohama.
The full card for the show is:
• Jun Saito and Rei Saito vs. Seigo Tachibana and Yoshitatsu
• Hikaru Sato and Ryoma Tsukamoto vs. Izanagi and Zeus
• Atsuki Aoyagi, Francesco Akira and Rising HAYATO vs. Black Menso~re, Dan Tamura and TAJIRI
• Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi vs. Koji Iwamoto and Ryuki Honda
• GAORA TV Championship: Shuji Ishikawa (c) vs. Takao Omori
• Hokuto Omori, Jake Lee and Yusuke Kodama vs. Shotaro Ashino, SUGI and SUWAMA
Iwamoto will make his return teaming with Ryuki Honda against Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi.
Francesco Akira, who announced on Instagram last month that he is relocating to Europe until the end of December, will wrestle his final match (until he returns, presumably in 2022) teaming with Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO against Black Menso~re, Dan Tamura and TAJIRI.
Shuji Ishikawa will attempt his second defense of the GAORA TV Championship against Takao Omori.
All Japan has also announced the full card for its show on September 21 in Korakuen Hall. The full card is:
• Black Menso~re vs. Ryoma Tsukamoto
• Dan Tamura, Shotaro Ashino and SUWAMA vs. Izanagi, Masanobu Fuchi and Zeus
• Jun Saito and Rei Saito vs. Shuji Ishikawa and Takao Omori
• Koji Iwamoto and Ryuki Honda vs. Seigo Tachibana and Yoshitatsu
• Atsuki Aoyagi, Kento Miyahara, Rising HAYATO and Yuma Aoyagi vs. Hokuto Omori, Koji Doi, Kuma Arashi and TAJIRI
• World Junior Heavyweight Championship: SUGI (c) vs. Yusuke Kodama
• Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: Jake Lee (c) vs. SUWAMA
SUGI will attempt his second defense of the World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Yusuke Kodama.
Jake Lee will attempt his second defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Royal Road tournament winner SUWAMA in the main event.
Pro Wrestling ZERO1
Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Shinjiro Otani has fractured both bones in his left forearm and will need to undergo surgery.
As a result, he will miss ZERO1’s show on September 19 in Korakuen Hall. He was scheduled to challenge Fuminori Abe for the ZERO1 International Junior Heavyweight Championship and ZERO1 World Junior Heavyweight Championship in the main event.
His return date is undecided.
Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS
Minoru Fujita will miss Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS’ show on September 16 in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring due to being deemed in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
His replacement has not been announced yet. He was scheduled to team with Kenji Fukimoto and Rina Yamashita against Masashi Takeda, Takayuki Ueki and Violento Jack in a deathmatch.
New Japan Pro Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling has uploaded Shingo Takagi versus Tetsuya Naito from its G1 Climax tournament in 2019 onto its YouTube channel.
