By Anthony Pires on 2021-09-08 20:01:00

On the heels of the biggest single night in AEW history, we are LIVE from Cincinnati, OH and AEW is on the air!  Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Taz have the call of tonight's action, including the homecoming of Jon Moxley.  Immediately we are treated to a quick v.ideo package showing the HUGE highlights from All Out.

Excalibur has the night off as he is getting married.  Congratulations to him! Lights are out.

Malakai Black vs. Dustin Rhodes

We see highlights what Black has done to the Rhodes Army over the last month. Lefts and rights are flying but Dustin gets the edge in the corner and down goes Black. Rhodes sends Black to the floor and follows him.  Black blocks a piledriver and administers a belly to back through a table.  Dustin is writhing in pain as Black pulls off the turnbuckle.  Big roundhouse kick by Black.  Black with a forearm but Dustin fires back.  Knee to the gut by Black for 2.  Black goes for a choke.  Black with a heel hook, Dustin makes the ropes but Black with a stomp for 2.  Oblique kicks by Black, Dustin is in all kinds of trouble.  Kick to the head but Dustin with a punch and a clothesline and a deep powerslam for 2.  Sunset flip by Dustin.  He tried a destroyer but couldn't execute.  Dustin with punches but does down to a kick.  Running knee for 2 by Black.

Black to the outside and grabs Cody's boot and mocks Dustin with it.  This fires up Dustin and he nails punches and a destroyer for 2.  Black slips out of a suplex and runs him into the exposed buckle. Back with the Black Mass for the pin.

WINNER: Malakai Black

The Lucha Bros, the NEW AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS have pre recorded comments talking about their big night and that they welcome all challengers.

Eddie Kingston has some comments for Miro.  He's ticked off about what happened Sunday, but Miro promises to deliver Edie's broken bones to his wife

We're back and it's time for some guy who made his in ring return this past Sunday. That's right, it's the Cult of Personality, the one time Voice of the Voiceless, CM Punk!  Crowd is elated to see him.  Punk is fired up and thanks Darby Allin for Sunday, as well as Sting and the fans.  A YOU STILL GOT IT chant erupts.  They are not wrong.  He's excited for Minoru Suzuki vs. Jon Moxley tonight.  Punk thanks Linda Pillman for being wonderful.  That was great.  Punks puts over all the debuting starts we saw at All Out.  Great to see this guy happy.  He asks Cincinnati what's next and Taz grabs the house mic.  Out of respect, he'll let Taz talk.  Taz says he was impressed but tells him never to mention Team Taz ever again.  Hobbs and Hook come out to stand by Taz' side.  Punk tells Taz to send them all.  Given their ineffectiveness and Punk's long ago win over the entire Shield, this should be a piece of cake.

Punk slaps hands with the fans and glares at Hobbs and Hook as he exits.

Tony is with Ruby Soho, who is immediately interrupted by Dr. Baker, Hayter and Rebel.  Baker lays the verbal smack down but Soho doesn't back down.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin

Double axe by Hobbs, Martin with a kick and slips out of a powerslam.  He dropkicks Hobbs from the ring and tries a tope suicida.  Hobbe catches him and sends him into the post.  Into the railing goes Martin, twice as we go to commercial

We're back and Hobbs with a standing spinebuster.  Kneedrop by Hobbs and pounds away on the ground.  Hobbs misses a kneedrop.  Big shotgun dropkick by Martin for 1.  Running pump kick by MArtin, he goes for a tope but Hook blocks him.  Martin leaps over Hook and executes it.  Enziguiri by Martin, he jumps over Hobbs but Hobbs catches him with a powerbomb for the pin.

WINNER: Powerhouse Hobbs

The guy from American Top Team, Dan Lambert, appears in a luxury suite with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.  Lambert invites any tough guys to come to the booth and shut them up

We get Matt Hardy saying he wants to shave Orange Cassidy's hair.  Cassidy says "whatever"

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is not happy as he comes to the ring and wants his music cut.  He reminds us that he beat Jericho 3x and beat him Sunday, but it was taken away because of bias against him.  Everyone wants to be him.  He does not like Cincinnati at all, calling it a dumpster fire.  The promo makes no mention of the Pinnacle.  After he runs down Cincy, he turns his attention to Linda Pillman and threatens Brian Pillman's daughter. If you thought this wouldn't bring out Brian Pillman, Jr., well, you don't pay attention. Pillman tells him that Cincy breeds badasses.  Taz defends MJF by reminding us that Long Island has great beaches.

I'm....not going to do play by play on what MJF said about Pillman's mother.  Wow.  Pillman attacks but Wardlow suplexes him out of his shoes.  Griff Garrison tries to make the save but gets lariated to Cleveland.  MJF punches Garrison with the Dynamite Diamond.  The announcers apologize for MJF's comments.  This aint PG.

We have a little video package on Minoru Suzuki and Jon Moxley

Jamie Hater w/Rebel and Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs Ruby Soho

Cincy loves them some Ruby.  Shove by Hater into a lockup.  Headlock by Hater, she takes Soho down with a shoulder block. Soho blocks a hip toss but gets taken down. Hot shot by Hater into a running kick as we go to commercial

Back to action and Soho hits a back elbow off of a Hater charge.  Ruby with 3 running kicks in the corner.  Spinning DDT by Ruby. She pulls Hater up and Hater blocks a Saito Suplex.  Soho tries a reverse rana but Hater lost her balance and went down face first to the canvas for 2.  Running elbow by Hater for 2.  Soho nails her old Riott Kick for the pin.

WINNER: Ruby Soho

Dr. Baker with a post match attack.  Riho makes the save but Hater with a neckbreaker.  Baker does for a curb stomp but the Galaxy's Greatest Alien, Kris Statlander, makes the save with a chair.

Ruby Soho is grabbing her neck and looks to be in a lot of pain.

Brian Cage has challenged Ricky Starks to a match.

FTR & Shawn Spears w/ Tully Blanchard and Wardlow vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & John Silver)

Earlier today, Dark Order had another internal argument but Ana Jay set things straight.  Trios match means bullet points

  • Spears with a shoulder block to Silver and flexes
  • Silver with a slam and a running forearm
  • The announcers ARE talking about the Pinnacle
  • Wheeler tags in and he and Harwood with a double team punch.
  • Spears tags in, as does Evil Uno.  He and Grayson with the decapitation
  • Silver tags in as a COLT CABANA chant breaks out
  • Spears with a jawbreaker and tags in Dax
  • Dax with a series of elbow drops for 2.
  • Silver with a suplex but can't get the tag as the other members of the Pinnacle attacked them and sent them to the floor
  • This fires up Silver, who clears the ring and nails a German for 2.
  • Dax with a Slingshot and tags in Spears, who hits Silver the the C4 for the pin.

WINNERS: FTR and Shawn Spears

Evil Uno and Silver get into it and, just that, we have a full on Dark Order Brawl.  Ana Jay and Tay Conti come out and glare at the ring.

We get some comments from the participants in the Women's Casino Battle Royal.

Tully Blanchard is with Tony Schiavone and he accuses Sting of soaking off Darby Allin.  He's challenged Allin to a match on behalf of Shawn Spears.

Sammy Guevara comes out with his placecards. My glasses are broken so I won't even attempt to try and read them .

Brian Pillman has challenged MJF to a match on Dynamite.  The Acclaimed bring the Varsity Blonds some flowers to mock them.  It'll be Max Caster vs. Pillman on Rampage

The Young Bucks, The Good Brothers, Don Callis, Brandon Cutler, Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa come out to talk to Tony.  Tony almost gets a sentence out before Callis takes the mic.  Callis tells us the Bucks have a plan to get the belts back.  The Bucks got their Best Friend back and bring out Adam Cole.  The crowd is very happy to see him.  It's storytime.  But first, Cole tells Schiavone if he even looks at his fiance the wrong way, he'll have no problem beating the hell out of him.  Cole declares AEW the best in the world because of the men in that ring.  Next week will be Cole's in ring debut.

Kenny Omega hates interruptions, so, of course, Brian Danielson interrupts.  Omega wants the ring to himself and the remainder of the Elite step out. Danielson and Omega go face to face.  Danielson grabs the mic and asks Cincinnati if they want Omega and he to fight.  They do.  Danielson says Omega is afraid of him and is not on his level.  Danielson takes him down but the Elite immediately goes on the attack. Christian Cage, Frankie Kazarian and Jurassic Express make the big save.  Danielson with the running knee to Nakazawa.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Jon Moxley

The big forearm exchanges take place to kick us off.  They trade kicks to the face.  Palm strikes by Suzuki, Moxley with a forearm sends Suzuki into the ropes as we go to commercial at 9:52 PM EST.

We're back and Moxley scores a 2 count. Chops by Moxley, kick to the face by Suzuki.  Moxley bites Suzuki's face but the King responds in kind.  They trade headbutts and eventually both go down.  Now they're slugging it out on their knees. Rear choke by Suzuki, he cant hit the Gotch Piledriver.  Paradigm Shift, Suzuki gets up and eats a lariat.  Moxley gets a 1 count.  Moxley hits clothelines but Suzuki won't go down.  Dropkick by Suzuki but Moxley hits a floating Paradigm Shift for the pin.

WINNER: Jon Moxley

Moxley celebrates as we go to credits.
