NEW JAPAN IN TEXAS UPDATE, NOAH RETURNING TO YOKOHAMA AND MORE FROM JAPAN

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced four more matches for its STRONG television tapings on September 25 and 26 in the Curtis Culwell Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The newly announced matches are:

September 25 in the Curtis Culwell Center
• “Filthy” Tom Lawlor vs. Ren Narita
• Chris Bey, El Phantasmo, Hikuleo and Taiji Ishimori vs. Clark Connors, Juice Robinson, Lio Rush and TJP

September 26 in the Curtis Culwell Center
• Daniel Garcia vs. Jay White
• Clark Connors and Karl Fredericks vs. Will Ospreay and ‘X’

New Japan chairman Naoki Sugabayashi sent a video message to Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. He congratulated the company on its eighty-eighth anniversary and said he hopes to resume CMLL and New Japan’s yearly co-promoted Fantastica Mania tour and send New Japan wrestlers to work in CMLL.

Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH will hold a show tomorrow in Yokohama Radiant Hall.

The full card is:

• Haoh and Nioh vs. Kai Fujimura and Yasutaka Yano
• Aleja vs. YO-HEY
• Daisuke Harada vs. Tadasuke
• Atsushi Kotoge, Hajime Ohara and Junta Miyawaki vs. Seiki Yoshioka, Yoshinari Ogawa and Yuya Susumu
• Kaito Kiyomiya vs. NOSAWA Rongai
• GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship: HAYATA (c) vs. Kotaro Suzuki

HAYATA will attempt his third defense of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against Kotaro Suzuki in the main event.

All Japan Pro Wrestling

Former All Japan Pro Wrestling star Gianni Valletta will make his Mexico debut in the main event of Mexican promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group’s weekly Thursday Night Wrestling show tonight in Arena Naucalpan, teaming with El Hijo de Fishman and El Hijo del Pirata Morgan against El Hijo De Alebrije, El Texano Jr. and Veneno.

Thursday Night Wrestling airs live on Más Lucha’s YouTube channel, which can be viewed here.

Valletta’s most recent match in Japan took place last April, losing to Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio via disqualification which then led to an impromptu six-man tag team match involving Francesco Akira and Yoshitatsu on Kuroshio’s side and Izanagi and Shigehiro Irie on Valletta’s side.
