WWE filed for a trademark on "Queens Crown Tournament", obviously a new tournament for the company's women's division on 8/27.
The filing was for Goods and Services in the realm of, "Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information."
There had been reports from the Mat Men Podcast over the summer that WWE was planning a Queen of the Ring tournament, so this appears to be a tweaked title for those plans.
