TAJIRI TO MLW, ALL JAPAN CHAMPION TO FOLLOW?, NEW JAPAN STRONG MOVING DAYS, GLEAT AND MORE FROM JAPAN

All Japan Pro Wrestling’s TAJIRI will debut for Major League Wrestling at its Fightland show on October 2 at the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Last month, Sports Illustrated broke the news that Masked Republic had successfully applied for and was granted a group visa for 49 international wrestlers – including TAJIRI.

While the group mostly consists of Mexico-based luchadores, other notable Japanese names include Michinoku Pro Wrestling founder Great Sasuke and Ultimo Dragon of Dragon Gate. Sports Illustrated’s full report can be read here.

“Filthy” Tom Lawlor, Alex Hammerstone, Davey Richards, Jacob Fatu and King Muertes are among MLW stars confirmed to appear at Fightland. Tickets are available here.

The news also prompted a response from Jake Lee, who stated his desire to wrestle abroad on Twitter. MLW owner Court Bauer replied that it would be an honour and privilege to have the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship holder compete in MLW.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced its weekly STRONG show will air on Saturday nights at 8pm EST from September 18 onwards.

Due to time differences, it will air at 9am JST, 1am BST on Sunday mornings.

New Japan has also announced the full card for this week’s episode of STRONG.

The full card is:

• Daniel Garcia vs. Josh Alexander
• Rey Horus vs. TJP
• Hikuleo vs. Matt Morris

GLEAT

GLEAT will hold a show tomorrow in Shinjuku FACE.

The full card is:

• Ayato Yoshida and Takanori Ito vs. Jun Tonsho and Shigehiro Irie
• Michiko Miyagi and Rina Yamashita vs. Ryo Mizunami and Yuu
• Issei Onitsuka vs. Yu Iizuka
• KAZMA SAKAMOTO vs. Soma Watanabe
• CIMA, Kaz Hayashi and Minoru Tanaka vs. Koji Iwamoto, ‘X’ and ‘X’
• El Lindaman and T-Hawk vs. Hayato Tamura and Ryuichi Kawakami
