Ric Flair is on the latest episode of Oral Sessions with Renée Paquette

The Nature Boy is pretty open and honest about his departure from WWE.  Ric states that the reason why he asked for his release from the company was to explore third-party opportunities that were being offered.  Flair says that he is sure that Vince McMahon would've approved of those opportunities as he got to keep doing Cameo, but people in the company would not present these ideas to Vince.  The Nature Boy says that there's no animosity between he and McMahon when they communicated about the issue, Flair said, "No matter where the road takes us, we will still be brothers."  To which he said, Vince replied, "Damn right!".

Ric says that he had a differing philosophy, WWE, saying that they just wanted him to collect a paycheck and he wants to do more.  In regards to speculation regarding Charlotte going out of WWE, Flair states that his daughter isn't going anywhere.  She's having a great deal of success there.  Ric dispels criticism of the current Raw Women's Champion being handled everything, saying how much she worked on her in-ring ability and overall presence.  Flair mentions how devastating it was, not being there for Summerslam for one of Charlotte's big moments as its the first one he missed due to a prior booking..

In regards to his relationship with Tony Khan and possibly working for AEW, Ric at first jokes that he is friends with Khan but hasn't received a phone call as of yet to do anything.  Later on in the interview, Ric mentions multiple times how a Four Horsemen reunion would pop a big rating.  Flair also states that he will be in Chicago this weekend hanging out with Andrade.

On the topic of an in-ring return, Flair states that a full singles match is out of the question, but something with a little physicality like a tag match may be in the cards.  The Nature Boy brings up a possible tag with Andrade versus Darby Allin and Sting. Ric says over time his pacemaker will have tissue growth around it, making it a little more feasible to do something physical.  The Nature Boy states that prior to one of WWE's trips to Saudi Arabia, he got rededicated to his physical fitness.  The two-time Hall of Famer expresses frustration that he was on WWE's no touch list.  But he understands why due to liability reasons.

Ric also talks about what it was like being in the induced coma, what he remembers, who his friends really were after that ordeal and his WWE departure, his effect on pop culture, the recent Ric Flair Twitter trend, Becky Lynch's return at Summerslam, why Tony Khan gave him $8000 on his birthday and more.
