It's Friday, and it's time for AEW Rampage, and for the first time it is taped ahead of time. So, after Dynamite was taped at the at the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, the show was taped, so we will see if the spoilers getting out hurt the ratings, although this is also the first episode that isn't an event either.
Our announcers are Excalibur, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, and Taz.
Jurassic Express vs The Lucha Bros in the Tag Team Tournament
Oddly, the Lucha Bros are already in the ring when we start. And again, the Young Bucks bring out their Zebra striped bar chairs to watch the match on the ramp.
We start with Jungle Boy and Rey Fenix running the ropes and showing some kicks and rope work. Fenix does a fantastic looking move off the ropes in he Express's corner and they then tag out to their partners so that Luchasaurus and Penta and face off. Penta makes a big show of taking off one of his gloves, and then tries chops and head butts on Luchasaurus to no avail. All four men get in the ring and everyone is on the mat as we go to our first commercial break.
When we get back, Rey tag in and he and JB trade blows in the middle of the ring. Rey hits a Tope on Luchasaurus and then he runs back in for he and JB to clothesline each other. Hot tags are made to their partners and Luchasaurus takes out both Penta and Rey. Luchasaurus whip kicks Penta, Slams Rey on top of him, hits a standing moonsault and gets a two count.
Penta is able to get a few blows on Luchasaurus, Rey then takes him down, goes to the top for a frog splash and a two count. Luchasaurus is able to tag out, and JB gets in a Poisonrana and a two count. JB gets a Tiger Driver and the snare trap. Penta kicks JB to break the hold and Rey tags out. Penta is able to toss JB into the corner and then hit a tossed back breaker for the two count. He then hits Made in Japan for a two count. JB escapes the Fear Factor and as JB gets ready to leap onto Penta on the outside, Rey walks the middle rope from buckle to buckle and then tosses JB into everyone on the outside with a Rana.
They return to the ring and Penta gets a two count. Rey is tagged in, and JB is able to get a kick and a tag to Luchasaurus and they set up for the Thoracic Express, but Rey is able to escape. As they battle on the apron, Penta hits a Destroyer on JB. Rey then hits one on Luchasaurus and covers for a one count.
The Bros then hit Luchasaurus with a series of kicks back and forth, ping ponging him. They then hit Luchasaurus with a teaming version of a Casadora for a two, and then follow it with a assisted DDT for the cover and the win.
Your winners and meeting the Young Bucks for the tag team title at All Out: The Lucha Bros
The Bucks come to the ring and start to beat down the Lucha Bros. Jurassic Express come into the ring to run off the Young Bucks.
After some commercials, we get a video package of CM Punk's return. We then get a video building to the match with Darby Allin at All Out.
Miro's music plays, but he wasn't listed as having a match.
Fuego Del Soul is crawling out ahead of Miro as Miro has beat him up in the back and tosses his down the ramp to the ring. Miro says that Fuego must reveal his face before the Lord and rips off his mask. Fuego covers his face and rolls out of the ring ad Eddie Kingston runs to the ring and they attack each other. Eddie gets a suplex on Miro and the refs come out to pull them apart.
Tay Conti vs The Bunny
In the ring, Bunny attacks Tay from behind. When the bell rings, she stomps down Tay in the corner and then hits a sliding clothesline and covers for a two count. Bunny keeps up the attack after the pin attempt. Tay starts to fight her way out and Bunny is able to stop her with a clothesline. Bunny gets another two count.
Tay is able to take over by shoving Bunny into the corner, and then she attacks with kicks. She takes down Bunny with a spin slam and hits pump kicks in the corner. Tay hits the Tay KO but Penelope Ford comes to the ring. Ford gets on the ropes and Bunny is given brass knuckles which are used to drop Tay Conti for the three count.
Your winner: Bunny
We get a rundown of the matches on All Out and it looks to be a LONG show. We then get a video to build put Powerhouse Hobbs vs Brian Cage on Dynamite. They go over the rest of the matches on Dynamite next week.
We then get the Main Event Interview segment with Mark Henry. He asks if Kenny might get injured tonight. Kenny says the only shot Christian has will be if he does get injured. Mark asks if Cage and Kaz will try to injure him. Cage says it might happen, but he is the one who pinned Kenny for the first time in two years. Mark says it's time for the Main Event!
Brandon Cutler and Kenny Omega, vs Christian Cage and Frankie Kazarian
Mark Henry tosses Don Callis from joining commentary.
We start the match with Kaz beating the crap out of Cutler. He then tosses Cutler at Kenny's feet and motions for him to come in. Kenny tags in. As they circle each other, Nakazawa grabs Kaz's leg and that allows Kenny to start in on Kaz. Kenny takes too long to attack Kaz in the corner, and he gets a few moves in on Kenny before tagging in Cage. Kenny begs off so fast, he falls backwards and tags in Cutler, who Christian beats the tar out of.
Kaz then tags in and the beat down continues. They go to the outside and Nakazawa tries to attack Kaz and just annoys him. This allows Kenny to sneak up and clotheslines Kaz. They are rolled back into the ring. Kenny tags in and hits a series of his known moves on Kaz and finally covers for a two count. Kenny holds Kaz and faces him to Cage to taunt him. As Kaz is down, Kenny tags Cutler in and Cutler struts around the ring. He dances and then misses a elbow drop. Kaz tags in Cage and Cage cleans house.
Kenny drops to the floor so Cage can't attack him and as Cutler is getting beat down in the corner, Kenny sneaks in, tries to set Cage up in the One Winged Angle but Cage escapes, stacks them in the corner and beats them down with counted blows.
Cage gets the reverse DDT on Kenny, just as Cutler was leaping for him, so Cutler misses and plants himself on the mat.
I'll admit, I laughed at that spot.
Cutler gets a reverse DDT when he gets up. Kenny grabs Cage in the corner and Kenny grabs his legs and crotches him on the ring post. Cutler grabs Cage and hold him for a V Trigger, but Cage drops down making Kenny nail Cutler. All while the ref is distracted by Callis.
Christian tries for the Killswitch, and Kenny bails out of the ring. He scoots up the ramp on his behind as Cage hits Cutler with a spear and the Kill Switch to cover and get the win.
Your winners: Christian Cage and Frankie Kazarian
