WWE NXT UK REPORT: BROWN VERSUS COFFEY, THE NEW CHAMP SPEAKS, CONNERS IN A CAGE, AND MORE

Sunday night, WALTER faced Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK championship and the 868 day reign of WALTER ended when Dragunov made WALTER tap out.

Ilja says Long Live the Czar.

We are in London, England and your announcers are Andy Shepherd and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Jinny (with Joseph Conners [inside a shark cage]) versus Aoife Valkyrie in a No Disqualification Match

Jinny attacks Valkyrie from behind as Valkyrie makes her way to the ring. Valkyrie avoids being sent into the cage and she is able to lock Conners into the cage.

Valkyrie with punches to Jinny and Jinny is Irish whipped into the ringside barrier. Valkyrie sends Jinny into the ring steps. They get into the ring and the match starts.

Valkyrie with a clothesline and slam. Valkyrie with a springboard cross body for a near fall. Jinny drops down and Valkyrie goes over the top rope to the floor. Jinny goes under the ring and gets a chair. She hits Valkyrie in the back with a chair and does it again. Valkyrie moves and Jinny hits the ring steps with the chair. Valkyrie Irish whips Jinny into the ringside barrier. Valkyrie sends Jinny over the ringside barrier and Valkyrie follows. Valkyrie with kicks to Jinny, including the hamstring. Jinny with punches but Valkyrie fires back. Valkyrie sends Jinny into a table. Valkyrie picks up a laptop and hits Jinny with it a few times. Valkyrie pours the contents of the trash can onto Jinny and then hits her with the trash can.

Valkyrie with a punch and kick. Valkyrie sends Jinny back into the ringside area and misses a double sledge off the ringside barrier but does not miss with one from the floor. Valkyrie kicks Jinny. Jinny with a forearm but Valkyrie with a head butt to the midsection. Valkyrie with an Irish whip into the ring steps. Valkyrie gets a table and Conners begs the referee to stop this.

Jinny Irish whips Valkyrie over the ringside barrier. Jinny slaps Valkyrie and sends Valkyrie back into the ring. Jinny with punches. Valkyrie with a knee from the apron but Jinny with a shoulder. Valkyrie holds on to the ropes to avoid being sent through the table. Jinny goes to the floor and pulls Valkyrie off the apron. Jinny tries to suplex Valkyrie through the table but Valkyrie blocks it and suplexes Jinny on the floor.

Valkyrie sets for the leg drop through the table, but misses when Jinny moves and Valkyrie holds her knee. Jinny sends Valkyrie back into the ring and Jinny hits a rolling kick for a near fall. Jinny gets another near fall. Jinny with punches and she gets another near fall. Jinny goes under the ring and gets another chair and brings it into the ring. Jinny tries to put the injured leg in the chair but Valkyrie kicks Jinny away.

Valkyrie with an enzuigiri and she goes to the turnbuckles. Jinny with a forearm to stop Valkyrie on the turnbuckles. Jinny sets for a superplex but Valkyrie blocks it. Valkyrie rubs her elbow into Jinny’s back and hits a sunset flip power bomb but Valkyrie’s knee gives out so it does not have the full effect on Jinny.

The medical stff checks on Valkyrie.

The match continues and Jinny crawls for the chair while Valkyrie tries to get feeling back in her knee. Jinny wings and misses and Valkyrie with a spinning heel kick that sends the chair into Jinny for a near fall. Valkyrie hits Jinny in the back with the chair. Valkyrie with a wrist clutch driver onto the chair for the three count.

Winner: Aoife Valkyrie

After the match, Conners is released from the cage and he checks on Jinny.

Emlia McKenzie is in the locker room and she is asked about training with Meiko Satomura and she says it is going great.

Amale shows up and she tells Meiko that she was close to beating her so she wants a rematch. Amale tells Emilia to go somewhere else while the adults talk. Emilia does not go anywhere. She says if she has to go through Meiko’s pet project that is alright.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look back at Ilja Dragunov’s victory over WALTER on Sunday at Takeover.

Ilja says he is your NXT UK Champion. I wish I could describe how it feels to be champion. I cannot describe the countless sleepless nights I have had because of fear. I cannot describe how it feels when your self doubts control you inside. I cannot describe the amount of pain in your body transforming into sheer pride and honor. My will, my fists, and my weapons were all I have and it is all I need to fight anyone who tries to take this from me. Long Live the Czar.

Match Number Two: Oliver Carter (with Ashton Smith) versus Kenny Williams in a First Round Match in the Heritage Cup Number One Contender Tournament

Round One

They lock up and Williams backs Carter into the corner and Carter pushes Williams. Williams with a side head lock and take down. Williams with a shoulder tackle and kick to the back of the leg for a near fall. Williams with a side head lock and he holds on to the hair when Carter tries to send him off the ropes. Williams with a side head lock take down. Carter with forearms to the ribs and Williams holds on to the hair again but Carter with a forearm and kick in the corner. Carter with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Carter with a chop to the back of the neck. Carter with another chop as he holds on to the arm bar. Williams pulls the hair again and Williams with a wrist lock. Carter with a kick and he escapes the hold. Carter with an arm drag into an arm bar. Carter gets a near fall. Williams with a back elbow and he goes for an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Carter with a near fall on a rollup and then Williams goes into the ropes after avoiding a jumping kick from Carter.

Round Two

Williams with a kick and forearm to the back. Williams rakes the eyes with his boot and then he connects with crossfaces. Williams with a seated splash to the back for a near fall. Carter with punches while Williams with forearms. Williams ties up Carter’s hair in the ropes and then Williams kicks Carter and then drop kick Carter and it frees Carter from the ropes. Williams gets a near fall. Williams with a European uppercut followed by a forearm to the back.

Williams continues to work on the back with a hard Irish whip. Carter with a series of kicks and he gets a near fall. Carter with punches and forearms, Carter adds a chop. Williams leaps over Carter and applies a double leg nelson for the three count.

Round Three

Williams goes to the floor at the start of the round and when Carter follows, Williams returns to the ring. Carter with forearms to the back, but Williams blocks a kick and then he tries to send Carter face first into the mat but Carter is able to propel himself to to a flip and connect with a reverse Pele Kick. Williams goes to the floor and Carter follows with pescado onto Williams. They return to the ring and Carter with a punch and a rolling kick for a near fall. Carter tries to get Williams up with a uranage and Williams with a kick and Carter with a kick that sends Williams in to the ropes and he bounces back. Carter with a clothesline and a scissors kick for the three count.

Round Four

Williams goes into the ropes and Carter with a forearm. Carter with clotheslines followed by a quebrada for a near fall. Carter misses the scissors kick and Williams with a rollup for a near fall. Williams with a drop kick to the knees. Carter with an inside cradle for a near fall. Carter with a kick that sends Williams to the floor. Carter follows Williams to the floor and Williams kicks the knees and Williams grabs the water bottle and returns to the ring.

Williams removes the turnbuckle pad and throws it into the center of the ring. The referee gets the turnbuckle pad and Williams hits Carter with the water bottle and gets the three count.

Winner: Kenny Williams (Advances to face Noam Dar)

After the match, Smith tries to explain to the referee what happened.

Nina Samuels is in the back and she goes into Sid Scala’s office. Nina says Sid knows that NXT UK needs more Nina so she is asking for a match.

Sid says there is someone else who is looking for competition and Nina says to sign her up.

Sid tells Nina that she will be facing Blair Davenport next week.

Nina is SO EXCITED to be facing Blair and she tells Sid he is the best.

Nina leaves the office and screams behind the closed door.

We go to Isla Dawn’s set from Blair Witch 2 and she pulls out the box and she puts Dani Luna’s hair in it along with the watch.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Teoman and Nathan Frazer. He says the bubble is officially in the Heritage Cup Tournament. He says he has Nathan Frazer. Frazer says the British Rounds matches are so much fun to watch but they are more fun to be in. Teoman says he is relaxed because he is the one to beat in this tournament.

Frazer says a lot of people told him he would come to NXT UK and fail. This tournament is a chance to prove everyone wrong. Teoman says that Frazer does not have a purpose in life. Teoman says his purpose is his family. Frazer says everything he does is for his family. Teoman says the eye sees everything. Frazer says he will give Teoman his first loss.

Frazer versus Teoman will take place next week.

Match Number Three: Joe Coffey versus Rampage Brown in a Submission or Knockout Match

They touch fists before the match starts. They lock up and Brown backs Coffey into the ropes and he gives a clean break. They lock up and Coffey with a clean break. They lock up again and Brown with a head butt out of the corner and Coffey with a head butt as well. Brown with a drop kick and side head lock. Coffey and Brown criss cross until Coffey hits a cross body. Coffey with punches to the midsection and head. Coffey tells Brown they need to finish this tonight. They lock up and go to a stalemate.

They lock up again and roll around on the mat to a stalemate. They lock up again and both men go to the apron. Coffey and Brown collide on the apron and Brown with a boot. Coffey with a shoulder and Brown goes to the floor. Coffey with a drop kick off the apron into Brown. Coffey clotheslines Brown over the ringside barrier. Coffey with a dive over the ringside barrier and he barely clears it and glances off Bown.

Brown with forearms and Coffey with a head butt to the midsection. Coffey sends Brown into the ringside barrier and then Brown back drops Coffey over the ringside barrier. Brown with a flying shoulder tackle over the ringside barrier. Brown and Coffey exchange forearms. Brown kicks Coffey in the head and Coffey with punches.

Coffey with more punches and Brown avoids a punch and Coffey punches the top rope. Brown with a boot and kick to the head. Brown goes for the injured wrist and Brown with a wrist lock and he stands on the injured hand and kicks Coffey in the ribs. Brown with an arm bar but Coffey locks his hands to minimize the impact of the hold.

Coffey tries to escape but Brown holds on to the arm bar. Coffey with a back drop to Brown. Coffey runs Brown into the turnbuckles and hits a spinebuster. Coffey with a punch and he tries for a Boston Crab but Brown rolls through. Coffey with a boot to the midsection. Brown with a Kimura when Coffey goes for a forearm.

Coffey with a Boston Cab. Brown gets to the ropes and Coffey is forced to break. Brown goes to the apron and Coffey tries to bring him back into the ring. Brown drops the arm on the top rope. Coffey with a German suplex. Coffey removes the turnbuckle pad and throws it to the floor. Coffey sends Brown into the exposed turnbuckles and hits a back breaker. Coffey with a waist lock and German suplex. Coffey with another waist lock and Brown escapes. Coffey with a forearm to the back and Coffey with another German suplex. Brown holds on to the turnbuckles to block a German ssuplex. Coffey gets Brown on his shoulders and hits an electric chair drop. Brown rolls to the floor. Coffey tries to pull Brown into the ring but Coffey cannot do it due to his injured hand. Coffey tries again and Brown pulls Coffey to the floor.

Brown sends Coffey shoulder first into the ring post. Coffey blocks Brown from pulling him into the ring post but Brown with a punch and he pulls the shoulder into the ring post twice and wrings the arm into the post. Coffey with elbows but Brown with a head butt. They return to the ring and Brown with a Saito suplex. Coffey blocks a second Saito suplex attempt. Coffey grabs the ropes and Brown with a punch. Brown gets Coffey up but Coffey with elbows and punches. Coffey with a punch and overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

Coffey and Brown exchange punches and forearms. They both throw punches at the same time and then Coffey falls into the corner. Both both men run at each other a few times. Brown with a head butt and power slam. Brown goes for a Fujiwara arm bar but Coffey gets to his fight and blocks it. Coffey with elbows. Coffey kicks Brown from the corner and hits a double jump moonsault. Coffey runs into boots in the corner.

Brown with a flying shoulder tackle from the turnbuckles. Brown goes for the Ganso Bomb but Coffey gets to his feet. Coffey with an elbow and he goes for the double jump cross body but Brown stops him. Brown with a forearm to the back. Brown sets for a belly-to-back superplex and hits it. Coffey and Brown sit back to back and Coffey says they are going to finish this.

Brown and Coffey exchange punches. Brown punches Coffey and Coffey bounces off the ropes. Coffey with punches and a running forearm. Both men are down again. Coffey with a Glasgow Sendoff and What’s Best for the Bells. The referee checks on Brown and he is still conscious. Coffey with punches to the midsection and head. Brown with a judo throw and uranage. Brown with a short arm clothesline. Brown with a Doctor Bom and Coffey rolls away to show that he is still conscious. Coffey with punches and Brown with a boot to the head and a forearm. Coffey bounces off the ropes out of habit and Brown with a Doctor Bomb followed by hammer fists and the referee stops the match.

Winner: Rampage Brown (by knockout)

After the match, the referee checks on Coffey. Brown goes over to Coffey and they fist bump as a sign of mutual respect.
