Ryohei Oiwa vs. Kosei Fujita
They both grappled on the mat during the early moments. Fujita went for an arm submission on Oiwa. Oiwa countered with an ankle submission. Fujita got the break in the ropes. Oiwa continued to attack the leg with a single leg Boston Crab. Fujita stunned Oiwa with a dropkick. Fujita hammered Oiwa with elbow strikes to the face and chest. Fujita trapped him in a cross arm breaker. Oiwa was close to grab the ropes. Fujita refused to let go.
The bell rang as the referee was trying to free Oiwa from the arm submission. Another 10-minute draw.
Oiwa left the ring and went back to the locker room. Fujita stayed in the ring and bowed to the crowd who gave him a nice applause.
Master Wato and Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Robbie Eagles and Tomoaki Honma
Tenzan forces Honma to tap out to the Anaconda Vice.
There is a storyline building between Wato and Eagles. Wato wants a shot at Eagles' IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title. Eagles has welcomed the challenge from Wato. However, Eagles is facing Hiromu Takahashi next week at Wrestle Grand Slam for the Title. Whoever wins, Wato could claim his shot as the number one contender.
Tiger Mask, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. DOUKI, Zack Sabre, Jr. and Taichi
CHAOS comes to the ring very angry. Suzuki-Gun comes out laughing at what they did to the challengers last night. YOSHI-HASHI attacked ZSJ and Goto took care of Taichi outside the ring. In the ring, Tiger Mask and DOUKI started the match. YOSHI-HASHI and Goto helped Tiger Mask to try and triple team DOUKI. ZSJ pulled YOSHI-HASHI out of the ring and applied a leg submission. Taichi jumped Goto in the ring and choked him out. Taichi dragged Goto to the outside and threw him into the guardrails. Suzuki-Gun brought Goto into the ring and pummeled him in their corner. The match settled down into a normal tag match. YOSHI-HASHI makes a hot tag and takes out both Tekkers. Taichi hits an Ax Bomber on YOSHI-HASHI. ZSJ and Goto enter the ring. Pace picks up and all six men battle.
ZSJ traps Tiger Mask in the Clarky Cat (seated armlock). DOUKI locks YOSHI-HASHI in an Italian Stretch #36. Taichi catches Goto in a Stretch Plum.
Tiger Mask taps out. Suzuki-Gun gets the win.
Taichi refuses to let go of Goto. Young lions rush the ring help Goto. They roll Tiger Mask and YOSHI-HASHI to safety. Taichi and ZSJ continue to attack anyone coming near them until they clear the ring. Suzuki-Gun pose in the ring as their opponents are taking back to the locker room.
Dangerous Tekkers continue to look strong ahead of their title match.
Minoru Suzuki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado vs. Jado, El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori
Suzuki-Gun attacks as Bullet Club does their Two Sweet Salute. ELP and Ishimori took control as they double teamed Kanemaru. Suzuki and Desperado took the fight to the floor. Desperado choked Ishimori with microphone cable. ELP traded blows with Suzuki. In the ring, ELP and Suzuki decided to have another sparring session and trade elbows. Suzuki hit ELP so hard that he fell out of the ring. Suzuki bounced ELP off the guardrails and pounded him with elbows. ELP was dragged to the corner of Suzuki-Gun and got beat down. Kanemaru tried to whip ELP to the ropes. ELP reversed it and ELP grabbed the referee. The referee did not see Jado cracking Kanemaru in the back with his kendo stick. The match again spills all over ringside. Too much to recap here. Ishimori fought Desperado in the ring. Kanemaru came with a dropkick to the knee of Ishimori. Desperado put Ishimori in Numero Dos. Ishimori was able to get to the ropes. Desperado was about to hit Pinche Loco on Ishimori, but ELP hit Desperado in the face with Sudden Death.
Desperado is knocked out and Ishimori covers him for the pin.
The IWGP Jr. Tag Champs get a win over the Super Jr. Tag League winners.
Suzuki was ready to still fight Jado after the match. ELP hit a low blow on a young lion just for fun.
They have not announced a IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship match between Suzuki-Gun and Bullet Club for Wrestle Grand Slam yet, however, I would expect the match to take place soon.
Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo are also scheduled for the New Japan event in Texas at the end of September.
Satoshi Kojima and Kazuchika Okada vs. Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb
Both Kojima and Okada tried to test the power of Cobb, but Cobb bested them both. This was a good big man tag match with power moves and strikes from both teams. Cobb hit a dropkick on Okada and tried for a ripcord Tour of the Islands but Okada reversed out. Okada missed a lariat and Cobb hit an elbow to his jaw. Cobb came off the ropes for a power attack and Okada hit a dropkick in his face. Okada tagged to Kojima. Kojima hit a suplex on Cobb and went for a lariat. Cobb hit Kojima with a super kick and Kojima countered with a lariat. Cobb threw Kojima across the ring with a Spin Cycle. O-Khan hit a big boot to Okada and Cobb hit a tombstone on Okada. O-Khan held Okada down as Cobb hit a ripcord Tour of the Islands on Kojima.
Cobb pins Kojima.
Cobb took the mic and said that it is the rainy season in Tokyo, but it cannot rain forever. He called himself "The Aloha Maker". He said tomorrow it will be last time you see Okada in Korakuen Hall.
