BROCK LESNAR RETURNS TO WWE

Former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar officially returned to WWE at the end of the 2021 Summerslam PPV, confronting Universal Champion Roman Reigns and all but promising a future WWE PPV main event.   

Lesnar last appeared at Wrestlemania 36, losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.  Lesnar had toyed with returning to UFC after that bout, but opted not to pursue that opportunity.  

PWInsider.com broke in August 2020 that Lesnar's WWE deal had expired without the two sides locking in a new contract.  The belief at the time was that the two sides had gone their separate ways as Lesnar commands a high premium contractually and he wasn't going to be utilized in the Thunderdome environment where he wouldn't have the ability to generate the type of income to justify his deal.

Lesnar was moved from the Alumni section of the WWE website back to being listed an active member of the roster.
