All Japan Pro Wrestling
All Japan Pro Wrestling has agreed to bring at least one America-based wrestler to Japan as soon as October to compete in the company’s yearly Real World Tag League tournament pending a visa application, according to a source.
The visa application process is ongoing and if successful, would mark the first time an international wrestler has competed in the company since last February – before the start of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic and the introduction of international travel restrictions – barring those who opted to stay in Japan (such as Francesco Akira).
The Real World Tag League was founded in 1977 and typically runs throughout November and December. Last year’s tournament, won by Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi, featured eight teams competing in a round-robin format.
