AEW AND CM PUNK KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK

CM Punk just debuted for AEW and frankly, it was perfect. The fans wanted him and AEW obliged and sent him out to start the show. They didn't have to wait.

The segment went about 20 minutes and it flew by. It was as perfect as it could possibly be. 

Punk was clearly happy to be there. The fans were clearly happy to be there. It was one of those segments that you will always remember. Tony Khan and Punk created, as his shirt stated, an "I Was There" moment.  It is my sincere hope that tonight was a much needed turning point moment for the business.

Vince McMahon has been on autopilot, or worse, for far too long now. His arrogance in claiming AEW isn't competition, at a time when his own product is so stale, was the epitome of hubris. AEW has been firing on all cylinders since he made that statement on the second quarter investors call. And now, they have another real star.

Get your popcorn ready. Things are getting really interesting.
