WWE will present the 2021 Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday 10/21, PWInsider.com confirmed this afternoon. The decision on the official date was made in the last week as there was also talk of running the first Thursday in November several weeks ago.
The Mat Men podcast initially broke the news of WWE's return to Saudi Arabia. PWInsider.com has independently confirmed the 10/21 date as being correct.
WWE last ran Saudi Arabia in February 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic manifested.
WWE has run five events thus far in Saudi Arabia as part of a ten year deal between the company and the Saudi General Sports Authority.
WWE is scheduled to hold a live Friday Night Smackdown on FOX on Friday 10/22 in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita would be an 18 hour flight from Riyadh.
