Cage previously held the NWA Championship twice while previously working for TNA, now known as Impact Wrestling, as that was recognized as the top title for the promotion at the time.
Cage will appear on this Thursday's edition of Impact and will defend the Impact title against Brian Myers on the 8/20 Impact Wrestling Emergence PPV.
