NWA POWERRR - CHAMPIONS SERIES FINALS TV REPORT

It is the finals of the NWA's experiment, The Champions Series. It's the GPB Studios in Atlanta, GA.  It's Joe Galli, Tim Storm and Velvet Sky on the call.  It's DOKKEN welcoming us with "Into the Fire".

Kamille and Pope join Kyle Davis at the booth.  One of these 2 captains will win the Champions Series.  SEVEN title shots are in on the line tonight for the winning team.  3 matches left. For the finals, it's out of the Captain's hands.  The team themselves will choose the matchups

NWA World Champion Nick Aldis has replaced Sky at the booth

Thom Lattimer (Team Kamille/Austin Idol) vs. Trevor Murdoch (team Pope/Velvet Sky)

Murdoch stares down Aldis at the booth.  Lockup, they immediately exchange forearms.  Murdoch gets the edge and nails a back elbow.  Lattimer with a kick to the gut.  Murdoch fires away but LAttimer with a kick.  Boot to the face by Murdoch, Lattimer rolls out.  Big right hands by Murdoch and a clothesline by Murdoch over the top rope.  They brawl and LAttimer rakes him with the fingernails.  Forearms by Lattimer.  Bodyslam by Murdoch on the outside.  Back in the ring, Lattimer with a pop up powerbomb and slows things down.  Ground and pound by Lattimer, hw whips Murdoch into the buckles.  Back elbow by Lattimer into a neckbreaker.  Elbows by Lattimer for 2.  Lattimer slows things down with a rear chinlock.  Leg Lariat by Lattimer, he stomps Murdoch on the apron.  big right hand by Lattimer.  Hard forearm to the jaw by Lattimer, followed by an uppercut.  Gut wrench for 2 by Lattimer.  Lattimer misses a charge into the corner and Murdoch hits a bulldog off the top for the pin.

WINNER: Trevor Murdoch  (5 points for team Pope/Velvet)

Nick Aldis with some choice words for Murdoch.

Mims (team Kamille/Austin Idol) vs. Jax Dane (team Pope/Velvet Sky)

Lockup, clean break in the corner.  Dane bullies Mims into the corner.  Shoulder tackle by Dane.  Headlock by Mims and a flying tackle but a big belly to belly by Dane.  Dane stomps him in the corner. Dane slams him into the corner.  Suplex by Mims but a running knee by Dane.  Dane with stomps into a nerve hold. Snap mare by Dane into a rear chinlock and clubs him with forearms.  Another snap mare by Dane, he punches Mims in the corner.  Mims punches back but doesn't have much left.  Mims with a reversal into the buckles he nails 3 clotheslines for 2.  Dane with another belly to belly.  Headbutt by Dane.  Dane misses a charge and Mims schoolboys him for the pin.

WINNER: Mims (5 points for team Kamille/Idol)

It all comes down to Sal Rinauro vs. Colby Corino

Kyle Davis welcomes Mr. Aldis and Chris Adonis.  The Series did not go well for the World's Champion, who accuses William Corgan of a conspiracy and blames Jeremiah Plunkett for Team Aldis' loss in the series.  Adonis laughs about Plunkett which brings him out.  He takes Adonis to task as well as the World Champion.  He's met some good friends in the back.  He challenges them to a tag team match and brings out Shawn Daivari as his partner.  Daivari reminds Aldis of his time as Brutus Magnus.  Daivari lays doe the challenge.  If he and Plunkett win, he gets a shot at Sweet Charlotte.  Strictly Business accepts.

Nick Aldis & Chris Adonis vs. Jeremiah Plunkett & Shawn Daivari

Adonis locks up with Plunkett, shoulderblock by Adonis, he misses an elbow.  Plunkett with an arm twist.  Daivari tags in and axehandles the arm of Adonis.  Aldis tags in and he kicks away at Daivari.  Aldis misses a clothesline and Daivari with a chop into an armtwist.  Plunkett tags in and hits an elbow.  Daivari tags in and he goes to work on Aldis' arm and a suplex.  Adonis interferes and he gets a suplex.  Plunkett tags in and he nails a boot to the champ.  Aldis counters with a tilt a whirl and rakes Plunketts face across the rope.  Adonis tags in and nails a few chops and stomps him in the corner.  Aldis tags in and Plunkett tries some punches but Aldis with a big elbow into a rear chinlock.  He escapes and tags in Daivari, who goes to work with a big clothesline for 2.  Aldis reverses a whip but eats a back elbow.  Adonis interferes but Daivaris send him over the top.  Plunkett tags in and hits  aDDT for 2. Plunkett for a dropkick but Aldis catches him and nails the KingsLeaf.  Adonis holds Daivari back and Plunkett taps out

WINNERS: Nick Aldis and Chris Adonis

Champions Series Final Match: Colby Corino (team Pope/Velvet) vs. Sal Rinauro (Team Kamille/Idol)

This whole things comes down to this!  They don't waste time and chop away.  Uppercut by Corino but Sal with a double leg into ground and pound.  Sal with a 6 count of punches until Corino clotheslines him on the top rope.  

Quick reminder: Pope is no longer a champion so he's got real options if Sal wins.

Sal is bulied to the outside and barely beats the count.   Colby pounds him on the ground and wrenches on the injured shoulder.  He cranks down on an armbar for 1.  Sal with a rollup for 2 but Corino with a running clothesline.  Kneedrops by Corino and he kicks away at Rinauro's shoulder.  Back to an armbar for Colby.  Colby sets up a superplex and Sal blocks it.  Sal with forearms and a headbutt.  Kick by Sal, followed by chop.  Sal with Lethal Injection and a running bulldog in the corner.  Sal with a clothesline off the top for 2.  

Thom Lattimer throws a chair to Sal.  As the referee removes it, Colby pulls out a pair of brass knuckles and nails a curcifix suplex for the pin.

WINNER: Colby Corino
