We have a little video from Best in the World where Lenny Leonard and Chelsea Green were introduced by ROH Board member Maria Kannellis.  

Quinn Welcomes us to this week's NEW ERA in Ring of Honor as the ROH Women's Championship Tournament kicks off today.  Quinn thanks the fans for voting her into the tournament.  She pays tribute to the ROH Women Trailblazers who made this possible.

Women's Championship Tournament Round 1: Alex Gracia vs. Miranda Aliz

Code of honor adhered to.  Push down by Alize.  Lockup into an arm twist by Gracia, Alizer reverses.  Belly to back takedown by Gracia and she musses Alize's hair.  Another lockup, Alize rolls out of a charge and Gracia with a pair of chops.  Armdrag by Alize but Gracia with a headscissors.  Gracia tries another but Alize blocks it.  Headlock by Gracia, Alize punches out of it.  Dropkick by Gracia, Alize rolls out and Gracia misses a springboard off the 2nd rope after she slips off.  Alize rams her into the barricade, and then to the other as we go to commercial.

We return and the two are slugging it out mid ring.  Gracia with a chop but Alize with a headbutt.  Lumbar check by Gracia.  Thez press by Gracia and she fires away.  Clotheslines and a back elbow by Alize for a 2 count.  Blockbuster for 2 by Gracia.  Small package for 2 by Alize. Knee strike by Alize for a 2.  High kick into a cutter and a shining wizard by Alize for the pin.

WINNER: Miranda Alize (advances to the quarter finals)

Code of Honor adhered to.

Chelsea Green has left the booth.

Women's Championship Tournament Round 1: Nicole Savoy vs. Mazzerati

Leonard gives us the rundown on Mazzerati's incredible journey.  Code of Honor adhered to.  Good old fashioned trash talk. Lockup, armdrag by Savoy into a wristlock, Mazzerati makes the ropes.  Test of strength, Savoy gets the edge but Mazzerati gains the upperhand, Savoy with a bridge. Savoy escapes and tries to lock in a crossface as we go to commercial.

We return to a Mazzerati standing switch.  Reverse by Savoy into an armdrag takedown into an armbar, she hyperextends the elbow.  Mazzerati gets to her feet and gets a hammerlock.

Caprice Coleman has joined the booth, by the way.

Big slap to the face by Mazzerati but Savoy fires back and scores a big uppercut.  Kick by MAzzerati into Sole Food.  Savoy sidesteps a charge and nails a fallaway slam for 2.  Mazzerati powers out of a 1/2 nelson and goes for a double knee. Savoy catches her and hits an overhead butterfly for 2.  Mazzerati scores a 2 with a Northern Lights. Big right hand by Mazzerati.  Mazzerati wears her heart on her sleeve.  Savoy with a TKO for 2.  Savoy with a 1/2 nelson and finishes Mazzerati off with snap dragon suplex.

WINNER: Nicole Savoy (advances to the quarterfinals)

Women's Championship Tournament Round 1: Sumie Sakai vs Rok-C

Fun Fact: Rok-C was born AFTER Sumie Sakai debuted for Ring of Honor.  Code of Honor adhered to.  Lockup, monkey flip by Sakai for 2.  Sakai is extremely confident.  Go behind by Rok, Sumie turns it into a double wristlock rollup for 2. Rok-C reverses an armdrag, Sakai gives her a little wink.  Rok-C with a wristlock of her own and hits a springboard armdrag. Hip Attack in the corner by Rok-C.  Rok-C with a double knee for 2.

Sakai immediately trips her and nails a half crab and hooks the arm, forcing Rok-C to stretch further to make the rope.  Forearm exchanges.  Sakai with a hip attack of her own for 2. Sakai leans on her in the corner and nails a dropkick.  Sakai sets up the cloverleaf but instead drops her into a backbreaker.  High angle Boston Crab by Sakai.  Rok-C makes the ropes.  She's getting taught a heck of a lesson here.  Rok-C with a slap to the face, breaking Sakai's follow up crab attempt.  Boot to the face by Rok, she nails a Thez press and nails a Russian Leg sweep for 2.  Neck breaker by Rok-C.  She tries another but Sakai with a Saito Suplex.  Sumie sets up a superplex but Rok-C slips out and eats knees instead.  Rok-C nails Sakai with 2 roundhouse kicks.  Rok-C hits a hurancanrana for 2, Sakai with a counter rollup for 2.  Back elbow by Sakai.  Sumie with a fisherwoman buster for 2.  Rok-C traps Sakai into a victory roll and cinches in for the pin. Huge upset and welcome to ROH, Rok-C
