Matt Cardona won the Game Changer Wrestling World Title, beating Nick Gage in a bloody Death Match at GCW Homecoming Weekend Night 1 last night.
As Gage is set to appear on AEW TV this week against Chris Jericho, it makes sense that the company wouldn't want their Title belt on someone who will (most probably) lose on another TV show. In other words, unlike what WWE did with Karrion Kross, GCW actually planned ahead.
Cardona tweeted the following:
I haven’t slept…I’m at the airport…my back is still bleeding…I’m the NEW @GCWrestling_ WORLD CHAMP…and I’m flying to @Disneyland! #AlwayzReady #StillHere #DeathMatchKing pic.twitter.com/WnW0Nd0GH7
