My friend and I traveled from CT to PA to see the first house show back from the pandemic..
First off, it felt so good to get back to an event! Everyone seemed to be happy to be back as well. Here are the quick results.
*WWE Women’s Tag Team title match: Natalya and Tamina defeated Nia Jax and Shayna Bazler.
*Sheamus Open Challenge is answered by Drew McIntyre - Non Title. Jinder Mahal attacked Drew before the match, but Drew ended up winning.
*Smackdown Women’s title match: Bianca Belair defeated Carmella.
*WWE Title Handicap match Xavier and Kofi Kingston challenge WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. This turns into Lashley vs. Kofi as a video was shown before the match revealing Xavier had been attacked and laid out backstage. Bobby retains
Intermission and if it was any indication before, during and after intermission, merchandise sales did very well at the show.
Riddle vs. AJ Styles - RKBro had been advertised for a while and even after updating the card a few days ago, still advertised, so I guess they’re holding off Randy’s return for TV. Matt beat AJ.
Triple Threat for the Raw Women’s championship: Nikki ASH vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley. Rhea got a huge pop.. Nikki sadly got quite a few boos. I love her gimmick but I sense it could go south with the hardcore fans.. Nikki retained.
Main Event : John Cena & Dominik and Rey Mysterio vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso & Roman Reigns. After about 15-20 minutes, Cena gets a hot tag and scores the pin.
All and all, a fun show and great to see live wrestling back in person!
