Tomoaki Honma and Master Wato vs. Shingo Takagi and BUSHI

Kota Ibushi would be in this match to promote the Tokyo Dome main event.

Ibushi is out of action with a form of Pneumonia.   He is out for the July 22, 23 and 24 events.   The July 25 Main Event at the Tokyo Dome is now in question and the decision will be made on the day of the show.   Too bad for both Ibushi and Takagi.   We wish Kota Ibushi well for a speedy and safe recovery.

Takagi pins Wato with a running Pumping Bomber.

This was a slight squash, but Wato was competitive.   Shingo Takagi looks and carries himself like a World Champion.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs SANADA

This should be a great match.    Both men know each other so well.

Match begins very technical.  Both men with reversals.   Awesome wrestling here.   Too much great wrestling here.   Please go to New Japan World and check out this match.

ZSJ went for a European Clutch but SANADA reversed it into a Tiger suplex pin.  ZSJ stepped on SANADA’s chest so both their shoulders were pinned.   The referee counted both men’s shoulders to the mat.

The match was a Draw.

Both men wanted to continue and continued to wrestle.    The young lions had to separate them.    Both men leave ringside together and arguing about who won.

Taichi vs. Tetsuya Naito

Both men play mind games with each other in the early moments.   Naito takes the match to the floor attacks the neck of Taichi.   Taichi gets the advantage after throwing Naito into the guardrails.    He began choking Naito every chance he got.   Pace picked up.   They attempted finishers and reversed out of them.    Great stuff here.

Naito hits a DDT then Valentia.    He goes for Destino which Taichi reverses into Black Mephisto.    Two count.   Taichi hits a Dangerous Backdrop.  Two count.   Taichi hits a Super Kick and another Black Mephisto.

Taichi pins Naito.

Awesome match!    This was like a G1 Climax match.    So much fun.

ZSJ and SANADA came to ringside to check on their partners.  Taichi was all smiles after the match and mocking both of his opponents.    He also imitated Naito’s speech when he addresses the crowd.
