NWA POWERRR ON FITE.TV REPORT

 

To help explain the rules of the Champions Series, I am blatantly stealing Mike Johnson's article from earlier:

So join NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, TV Champion Pope, World Women’s Champion Kamille, and Tag Champion Aron Stevens as they find out who’ll they’ll be partnered with: be it Melina, Austin Idol, Velvet Sky, or Taryn Terrell. And once matched, our 4 team co-captains will choose from among 20 NWA combatants in an open draft.   

A list which includes former NWA National Champion Trevor Murdoch, former Tag Champion Tom Latimer, JTG, Jennacide, Crimson; plus former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Jax Dane, Fred Rosser, The Masked Man, and many, many more. 

And though their process be arduous, the goal for those involved is quite simple; for if your team should win each member and resident legend will receive an official NWA title shot; or, in the case of a current champion, a chance to protect their title from any challenger beneath them. Which makes for very interesting business indeed, especially for those that are retired or covetous of their own gold. As all title shots earned are transferable to whomever the winner should see fit.

Joe Galli and May Valentine introduce our Captains: Nick Aldis, Da Pope, Kamille and Nick Aldis.  They must pick men, women and legends.  

The Legends available to be drafted are: Velvet Sky, Melina, Tarryn Terrel and Austin Idol

The other participants: Skye Blue, Slice Boogie, Jordan Clearwater, Colby Corino, Crimson, Jax Dane, Kratos, JTG, Jennacide, Lady Frost, Thom Lattimer, The MAsked Mystery Man, Mims, Trevor Murdoch, Kenzie Page, Jeremiah Plunkett, Sal Rimauro, MArshe Rockket, Fred Rosser, Tyrus

Quick opinion: This looks like it has the potential to be very interesting.  A reminder that FITE has the NWA PPV package for Empowerrr and NWA 73.

Tarryn has been picked by Aron Stevens.

Velvet Sky has been picked by Pope.

Austin Idol has been selected by Kamille.

Melina is with Nick Aldis.

It seems as though the Legends will act as assistant Captains.

It'll be a snake draft from here on out.

Kamille selects Thom Lattimer, Idol is not happy.  He wants Tyrus.  Kamille stands firm.  I like how the teams are a little skewed.  

Stevens and Terrell pick Tyrus.  Idol is FURIOUS

Aldis and Melina choose Crimson.  Joe Galli questions the logic

Pope and Sky select Trevor Murdoch.  Pope and Sky seem to be on the same page.

Pope and Sky begin the next round  by picking Jennacide

Aldis and Melina choose Sky Blue.

Stevens and Terrel choose Lady Frost.

Kenzie Page has been chosen by Kamille and Idol.

Kamille and Idol choose Kratos.

Stevens and Terrell choose JTG.

Aldis and Melina pick Fred Rosser.

Pope and Sky pick Jax Dane.

Pope and Sky kick off the next round by picking The Masked Mystery Man.

Aldis and Melina select Slice Boogie.

Stevens and Terrell pick Marshe Rockett.  Terrell is great at this.

Idol and Kamille choose Mims.

The final round is random:

Sal Rinauro is with Kamille and Idol, Jordan Clearwater is with Stevens and Terrerll, Jeremiah Plunkett is with Aldis and Melina and Colby Corino is with Pope and Sky.

Time for matches.
