NWO WEEK, LUGER DOC DOES NOT DEBUT, GREAT AMERICAN BASH TOMORROW, MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING BOUTS HEADLINE SMACKDOWN & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-07-05 09:13:00

As noted over the weekend, the WWE Icons: Lex Luger documentary did not premiere as originally scheduled yesterday. WWE sources indicated that the premiere was being moved back to give the doc a better lead-in so it can have a larger splash but as we noted, there has been a pause placed on all current WWE docs.

Beyond tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw, it's a busy week for WWE programming.

Tomorrow, WWE NXT will present the 2021 Great American Bash PPV, featuring:

*Kyle O'Reilly vs. Adam Cole.

*Johnny Gargano and NXT Champion Karrion Kross will go face-to-face.

*WWE NXT Tag Team Champions MSK vs. Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher.

*Hit Row will host a Championship Cypher for new NXT North American Champion Isaiah "Swerve" Scott.

*WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Candice LaRae & Indi Hartwell vs. Io Shirai & Zoey Stark.

*Million Dollar Champion LA Knight vs. Cameron Grimes.

WWE will also release the best of the NWO tomorrow in honor of the anniversary of the New World Order at WCW's Bash at the Beach 1996.

Sean Waltman will be on WWE's The Bump this Wednesday as part of NWO Week.

This Thursday, NXT UK will feature Lewis Howley vs. Mark Andrews - if Andrews wins, he earns a title shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship for Subculture, Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis and Nathan Frazer vs. Kenny Williams.

Already set for this week's Friday Night Smackdown are two Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches featuring Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.

Kevin Nash will join Steve Austin on Sunday's edition of Broken Skull Sessions on Peacock and the WWE Network.
