NJPW STRONG REPORT

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono and Hiroshi Tanahashi (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Lio Rush versus Adrian Quest

Quest pushes Rush and Rush pushes back. Rush with a waist lock and Quest with a take down. Rush with a head scissors and Quest escapes. Rush with a waist lock into a wrist lock. Quest with a drop kick and it sends Rush to the floor. Quest with a suicide dive followed by punches. They return to the ring and Quest with a forearm from the apron. Rush with kicks and he sends Quest to the apron. Rush with a leg sweep.

Rush with kicks from the apron followed by a springboard cross body to the floor. Rush with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Rush with a kick and Quest pushes Rush. Rush with punches and chops. Quest with forearms and an elbow. Quest flips Rush and Rush with an elbow. Quest with a flapjack and a back body drop for a near fall.

Quest with an arm bar into a double wrist lock. Quest kicks Rush and chops him. Quest with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Quest with a rear chin lock. Quest with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Quest with a rear chin lock. Rush backs Quest into the corner to escape a sleeper. Rush with a clothesline and Quest with a forearm. Quest with clotheslines and both men with round kicks and they go down. Quest with a forearm and Rush fires back. Rush with strikes and he misses the springboard cutter. Quest with a back heel kick and a shooting star press for a near fall.

Quest with a double underhook but Rush with a kick to the knee. Quest with an enzuigiri. Quest with a Tiger Driver for a near fall. Quest kicks Rush in the ankle and puts Rush on the turnbuckles. Quest sets for a butterfly superplex but Rush blocks it and head butts Quest to the mat. Rush with a springboard cutter for the three count.

Winner: Lio Rush

After the match, Rush is in the back and he says he has been starting to sound like a broken record in New Japan Strong. Trust him when he says it is still a hit and sounds good. The quest, Mr. Adrian Quest was conquered tonight. As far as any future encounters I might have with anyone else, the goal remains the same. Whether or not I won a championship or a tournament, the Man of the Hour will become the Man of Japan.

Match Number Two: Jordan Clearwater versus Hikuleo

Jordan attacks Hikuleo as the bell rings with a boot. Hikuleo with forearms and kicks to the back. Hikuleo with more forearms. Hikuleo with a chop but Jordan with a kick. Hikuleo with a kick and Jordan with a forearm or two. Hikuleo with a shoulder tackle and he connects with forearms. Hikuleo chokes Clearwater and the referee pulls Hikuleo off. Hikuelo sends Jordan shoulder first into the turnbuckles.

Hikuleo chokes Jordan and the referee warns him. Hikuleo chokes Jordan in the ropes. Hikuleo with a punch to the midsection and then he hits a clothesline in the corner after an Irish whip. Hikuleo with an Irish whip and clothesline followed by a suplex for a near fall. Hikuleo gets another near fall. Jordan punches Hikuleo but Hikuleo with a shoulder tackle. Jordan with a chop and forearms.

Hikuleo gets a near fall. Hikuleo with a slam and a splash for a near fall. Hikuleo with a reverse chin lock. Hikuleo with a rear chin lock and his knee in Jordan’s back. Jordan with a jaw breaker and a second one. Jordan with chops and punches from the turnbuckles. Jordan with a drop kick to the knees. Jordan with forearms. Jordan with kicks and clotheslines. Jordan gets off Hikuleo’s shoulders and hits an inverted elbow drop for a near fall. Hikuleo blocks a kick and Jordan with a forearm. Hikuleo with a power slam. Hikuleo gets Jordan up but Jordan escapes and goes for a bulldog but Hikuleo with a belly-to-back suplex. Hikuleo with a cradle Michinoku Driver for the three count.

Winner: Hikuleo

We go to the Cleaning and Disinfection Break.

Match Number Three: Fred Rosser versus Bateman

They lock up and go to the ropes. Bateman with a clean break with some help from the referee. Rosser backs Bateman into the corner while Bateman has him in a front face lock. They lock up and Rosser with a hip toss and wrist lock. Rosser with a back senton onto the arm. Bateman gets into the ropes and the referee holds Rosser back.

Bateman with an arm bar and take down into a wrist lock. Bateman with a hammer lock. Rosser with a side head lock and cravate. Rosser takes Bateman to the mat with a side head lock and gets a near fall. Rosser with a shoulder tackle and Bateman misses a chop and punches as Rossser goes to the floor to regroup. Bateman kicks Rosser when he returns to the ring. Rosser with a head butt and punches. Rosser sends Bateman into the turnbuckles and Rosser with chops. Rosser with an Irish whip and clothesline.

Rosser with a slam and seated splash. Bateman with a single leg take down. Rosser kicks Bateman away and Rosser punches Bateman. Rosser with a punch and Bateman with forearms. Bateman with a chop and he chokes Rosser in the corner. Bateman kicks Rosser in the leg and then works on the ankle. Rosser with knees to the head to get out of the hold. Bateman kicks Rosser and connects with a forearm. Bateman works on the leg. Bateman with a knee drop to the leg and he works on the ankle and unties Rosser’s boot. Rosser gets to the ropes.

Bateman kicks Rosser in the leg and Rosser with a shoulder from the apron. Bateman with a kick and he gets a near fall. Bateman with a chop and kick to the head. Rosser with a rake of the eyes and the referee forces Rosser to release the hold. Bateman with a forearm to Rosser. Bateman kicks Rosser on the apron and then grabs him by the nose. Bateman with a palm strike to the head. Bateman goes for a back breaker on the apron but Rosser blocks it. Bateman with a forearm.

Bateman misses a clothesline and Rosser with a back breaker on the apron. Rosser returns to the ring without a boot and he gets a near fall. Rosser with a knee to the head for a near fall. Bateman works on the injured foot but Rosser bites Bateman’s hand. Rosser with a head butt and chops followed by punches. Bateman and Rosser with head butts to the midsection. Rosser with a kick to Bateman followed by a drop kick.

Roser with a DDT and Rosser gets a near fall. Rosser with a head butt and he gets Bateman on his shoulders. Bateman with a boot and then he hits a brainbuster for a near fall. Bateman stands on Rosser’s bootless ankle. Bateman with a forearm and he gets a near fall. Bateman goes for a back breaker but Rosser blocks it. Rosser with a kick and Emerald Frosion for the three count.

Winner: Fred Rosser
