KILLER KHAN NOT CHARGED IN 2020 HIT AND RUN INCIDENT

By Mike Johnson on 2021-06-30 23:52:00

Retired professional wrestler Killer Khan will not be prosecuted in relation to an October 2020 incident where he allegedly struck a woman who was riding a bike in the Hyakunincho area of Tokyo.  Khan then fled the scene, later being identified via security footage.  Last year, Khan allegedly told investigators that he was sorry over the incident, but left the scene as he had to get to his restaurant.

Khan apologized for the woman's injuries and charged last year "with suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Law regarding hit-and-run and negligence resulting in injury."   Prosecutors have declined to follow through with the case, although why was not made clear.

During his career, Khan most memorably feuded with Andre the Giant in the WWF.  He also had runs in Canada's Stampede Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, Georgia Championship Wrestling and other promotions in the 1980s.  Khan retired in 1987 after a final WWF heel run where he spewed green mist and was managed by the late Mr. Fuji.
