NJPW STRONG REPORT; JOSH ALEXANDER AND KOJIMA IN ACTION, TAG TOURNAMENT COMING SOON

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono and Hiroshi Tanahashi (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Alex Coughlin versus Josh Alexander

They lock up and Alexander goes for the legs but Alex blocks it. Alexander with a fireman’s carry into a front face lock. Alexander with a wrist lock into an arm bar. Alex with a snap mare but Alexander with a head scissors. Alex escapes and he works on the legs. Alexander with forearms but Alex continues to work on the legs. Alex with a side head lock.

Alexander tries to send Alex off the ropes but Alex holds on. Alexander with a head butt on a break and Alex with a shoulder tackle after running through a back elbow. They go to the floor and Alex sends Alexander into the apron. Alex with a forearm to the lower back. Alex misses a shoulder and Alexander with a kick and drop kick that sends both men to the floor. Alexander with a chop and he sends Alex back into the ring and gets a near fall. Alexander with a forearm to the back. Alexander stomps on the leg and kicks Alex in the chest and follows with a knee drop. Alexander with a back elbow and kick. Alexander with a chop in the corner and Alex wants more. Alex with a chop and they go back and forth. Alex with more chops to Alexander but Alexander with a take down into an ankle lock but Alex rolls through to escape. Alex with a German suplex. Alex and Alexander exchange forearms with Alex gaining the advantage. Alex with a flying shoulder tackle. Alex with a gutwrench suplex and he holds on and hits a second one. Alexander returns to the ankle lock.

Alex counters into a single leg crab. Alexander gets to the ropes to force a break. Alexander blocks a German suplex attempt and Alex sends Alexander into the corner. Alex kicks and chops Alexander and follows with a European uppercut and kicks. Alexander with a forearm and a rollup into Chaos Theory for a near fall. Alexander goes for a Tiger Driver but Alex blocks it. Alex misses a clothesline and Alexander with a punch. Alex with a back elbow and a fallaway slam and bridge for a near fall. Alex with a wist lock and Alexander gets to the ropes. Alexander with a back elbow against the ropes. Alexander puts the leg in the ropes and kicks the other one before applying an ankle lock and he grapevines the leg. Alex with a waist lock to escape but Alexander returns to the ankle lock. Alex kicks Alexander but Alexander with a kick. Alex with a back body drop and bridge for a near fall. Alexander with a butterfly piledriver for the three count.

Winner: Josh Alexander

Match Number Two: Fred Rosser and Adrian Quest versus Bateman and Barrett Brown

Brown and Quest start things off. Brown tags in Bateman before anything happens. Bateman has some words for Rosser and then he locks up with Quest and Quest with a side head lock. Bateman with a shoulder tackle and Quest with a forearm. Bateman with a chop but Quest with a satellite head scissors. Quest with a springboard drop kick into a front face lock. Rosser tags in and he hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles and then connects with a head butt to the midsection followed by a standard head butt.

Rosser with a head butt and chop but Bateman with a double thrust to the throat. Brown tags in and he applies a side head lock. Rosser with forearms to the ribs and Rosser with a shoulder tackle and he catches Brown on a leap frog. Rosser with a leg drop and slam followed by a seated splash. Rosser gets a near fall. Rosser biels Brown across the ring and he kicks Brown in the chest. Rosser with a boot to Brown and he punches Bateman on the apron. Rosser goes for a back drop driver onto the apron but Bateman grabs Rosser to stop him. Brown with a kick and Bateman tags in. Bateman kicks Rosser.

Rosser with a punch but Bateman punches Rosser. Bateman with a neck breaker and Brown tags in. Brown with a double thrust but Rosser with a head butt and they return to the ring. Brown with a kick to the back and he chokes Rosser. Bateman tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back. Bateman with a forearm and he chokes Rosser in the ropes. Bateman with a front face lock. Rosser with punches but Bateman with a forearm. Rosser fights out of the corner but Bateman with a waist lock.

Rosser with many elbows to get out of the hold and Rosser follows with a belly-to-back suplex. Quest and Brown tag in and Quest with forearms and he backs Brown into the corner and connects with shoulders and punches. Quest with a drop kick for a near fall. Quest with more punches and Brown sends Quest to the apron. Brown with a punch when Quest goes for a slingshot move. Brown tries to suplex Quest on the apron but Quest escapes and Rosser hits a back drop driver onto the apron.

Quest with a shooting star press for a near fall. Rosser punches Bateman but Bateman sends Rosser to the floor. Quest punches Bateman but Bateman sends Quest to the mat. Rosser with a knee to Bateman. Brown with a super kick to Rosser. Quest with a forearm and Brown with an elbow and Bateman makes the blind tag. Quest with a tornado DDT to Brown but Bateman crotches Quest and hits a spinning tombstone piledriver for the three count.

Winners: Bateman and Barrett Brown

After the match, Brown and Bateman are in the back. Brown says they did what they said they would do. Bateman says the knife goes in the wound and twists. Brown says they have taken over not just the division, but New Japan Strong. They are a force to be reckoned with. Bateman says when they want to hurt someone, they find someone to hurt. Fred Rosser has taken issues with that. You can call me a bully, but I have been called worse. I am not a bully, I am inevitable. This is when I feel alive. I saw that fire in your eye and pain is a teacher and motivator. You and I have a lot to teach each other. I will be waiting.

We go to the Cleaning and Disinfection Break.

We are back with an announcement of Tag Team Turbulence. It will be an eight team tournament with a trophy on the line.

The teams involved are TJP and Clark Connors, Violence Unlimited (Brody King and Chris Dickinson), DKC and Kevin Knight, Team Filthy (JR Kratos and Danny Limelight), Blue Justice (Ren Narita and Yuji Nagata), Wheeler Yuta and Fred Yehi, The West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs), and The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

Match Number Three: JR Kratos versus Satoshi Kojima

They lock up and Kratos sends Kojima to the mat. They lock up and Kratos with an arm drag take down. They lock up and Kojima with a side head lock and he tries for s shoulder tackle but bounces off Kratos. He tries again to the same result. Two moore attempts fail and then Kojima with a kick. Kratos with a shoulder tackle that sends Kojima to the floor.

Kratos stomps on the arm and then he punches Koima. They return to the ring and Kratos with an elbow drop for a near fall. Kratos with forearms. Kratos with an Irsih whip and forearm into the corner. Kratos with a gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Kojima with a punch and Kratos punches back. Kratos with a suplex. Kratos runs into a boot and Kojima with a chop. Kojima with the rapid fire chops but Kratos does not feel the effect. Kratos with chops and punches in the corner. Kratos with an Irish whip and he misses a splash. Kojima with punches and chops. Kojima with an Irish whip and forearm into the corner.

Kojima goes to the apron and Kratos with a double sledge. Kratos goes for a German suplex off the apron but Kojima holds on to the ropes. Kojima with a DDT on the apron. Kojima sends Kratos back into the ring and Kojima goes up top and hits an elbow drop. Kojima gets a near fall. Kojima with forearms. Kratos with a sit out choke slam for a near fall. Kratos with a forearm and he sets for a suplex and hits it.

Kratos gets a near fall. Kratos with a waist lock and Kojima with elbows to escape the hold and he hits a DDT. Kojima with a kick and DDT. Kojima with a kick and DDT but Kratos pops up again. Kratos with a clothesline and both men are down. Kojima with a kick and cutter. Kojima goes for a suplex but Kratos blocks it. Kojima with forearms and then he hits a brainbuster. Kojima gets a near fall.

Kratos with a jumping knee. Kojima with a lariat for the three count.

Winner: Satoshi Kojima
