WWE NXT star Ridge Holland has been seen daily at the WWE Performance Center of late, grinding away as he rehabs his leg, working towards getting cleared to return to the ring.
PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources over the last several weeks that Holland has thrown himself into rehab in a massive way and has been lauded for the great attitude he's shown despite the injuries suffered last year.
Holland underwent surgery in October 2020 after suffering a left ankle dislocation and fracture, a right knee patellar dislocation and a patellar tendon rupture on the 10/7 episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network. On that episode, Holland, after defeating Danny Burch, was beating on him after the bout. Burch's partner Oney Lorcan hit the ring and the pair were separated several times with Lorcan nailing a dive after the first separation. After the two were separated a second time, Lorcan hit a pescado to the flor but upon catching him, Holland's ankle buckled as they went down and snapped with his foot turned into an unnatural position.
The referees, realizing there was a legitimate injury, pulled Orcan off with Holland stretchered out of the Capitol Wrestling Center. WWE's medical staff set the dislocated knee back in place at ringside. His ankle dislocation was placed back into its rightful position at the hospital.
PWInsider.com has not learned of a time table for Holland's return
