By James Kurokawa on 2021-06-17 09:02:00

From Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Japan:

1 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Yuya Uemura

After a collar and elbow lock up, both men took it to the mat with arm and leg submissions.  Uemura kept Tanahashi on the mat with a strong headlock.   Tanahashi countered with an Indian Death Lock variation.  Uemura was selling the pain in his leg.  Tanahashi slapped the taste out of Uemura's mouth and locked him in a Texas Cloverleaf.   Uemura makes it to the ropes.   Uemura hits a double underhook suplex and applies a Boston Crab.   Tanahashi crawls to the ropes but Uemura pulls him to the middle of the ring.   Tanahashi crawls again and makes it to ropes to break the hold.   Uemura still selling the effects of Tanahashi's leg submissions, hits a body press from the top rope for a two count.   Tanahashi recovers and hits Twist and Shout.  Uemura counters with a suplex.   Tanahashi with Slingblade, then the Texas Cloverleaf.

Uemura taps out.

As he did with Yota Tsuji two nights earlier, Tanahashi has words of encouragement for Uemura.   Tanahashi walks back to the locker room, turns and bows to the ring, giving Uemura a moment to get an ovation from the crowd.

2 - Kazuchika Okada vs. Yota Tsuji

Tsuji came out of his corner with a running dropkick, catching Okada by surprise.  Tsuji hit a big shoulder block and tried for a Boston Crab, but Okada got to the ropes.  Okada hit a big boot and a few body slams.   Okada threw an elbow to the kidney and Tsuji was selling his back.  Tsuji used his power to stun Okada with stiff elbows, hit a body slam, then used his speed off the ropes to hit a flipping senton and a splash.   Okada kicked out at two.  Okada trapped Tsuji in a version of an Octopus Lock which further hurt the back of Tsuji.   Tsuji reached the ropes and Okada hit a knee to his back and sent him to the ring floor.  Tsuji got back in the ring and Okada went for a Tombstone.  Tsuji fought it off and they both began throwing elbows.   Okada lifted Tsuji into a Tombstone position but Tsuji flailed his legs to get himself back into a standing position.   He slapped Okada in the face.   Okada hit him in the face with a dropkick.   Okada positioned Tsuji to hit a Rainmaker, but Okada rolled Tsuji into a clutch pin called "Toque Espaldas".

Okada pins Tsuji.

Very surprising move by Okada.  Everyone was expecting the Rainmaker or Money Clip but he shocked the announcers with this new move.

3 - Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe and Kota Ibushi vs. Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan

This was a "welcome home" match for Kojima and Nagata who were in the United States for a couple of months.

Kojima pins Honma after a big lariat.

Afterwards, Ibushi shook hands and gave his thanks and appreciation to the other five veterans in the match.

4 - BUSHI, Shingo Takagi, SANADA and Tetsuya Naito vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado, Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi

Naito comes to the ring with the program he had last night.   He may be looking for Zack Sabre Jr.'s autograph.

BUSHI wanted to start the match against El Desperado.   Desperado was eager to oblige, but tagged out to Kanemaru and laughed about it.   Takagi told BUSHI he would start the match.  Kanemaru and Desperado attacked Takagi as the bell rang.   Takagi took them both out with a double Pumping Bomber.  LIJ isolated Kanemaru and used quick tags to attack his left arm.   SANADA and Taichi tagged in and they started hitting each other with strikes and kicks.  Naito entered the ring to attack Taichi.   ZSJ entered and all four men were battling in the ring until they were on their backs.    BUSHI and Desperado finally paired off.  Desperado hit a Spinebuster and tried to take off BUSHI's mask.  The referee stopped him and BUSHI recovered.   BUSHI came off the ropes, but Desperado caught him in a back suplex, with a dropkick from Kanemaru to BUSHI's head.  Desperado dropped BUSHI back first on the mat.  Desperado hit Guitarra de Angel on BUSHI.   Desperado goes for the pin.  SANADA and Naito break up the count.

Desperado goes for Pinche Loco, but BUSHI reverses out and hits a Codebreaker.  BUSHI is about to go for another move, when Desperado pushes BUSHI into the referee.  Desperado grabs BUSHI and pins him with El Es Clero (Crucifix pin variation).

After the match, Naito politely asks ZSJ for an autograph.   ZSJ says "no".   SANADA takes the program and bows to ZSJ and asking him to please sign.    ZSJ signs the program and Naito and SANADA quickly leave the ring.   They show off their program to the camera and run to the locker room..

El Phantasmo is eliminated.

SHO goes for a cross arm breaker on Ishimori, but Ishimori gets to the ropes.  SHO goes for a Shock Arrow, but Ishimori reverses into Cipher Utaki (double knee face breaker).   Two count only.  Ishimori hits a punching combination with a high knee.   Ishimori hits a Bloody Cross.
