WILLIAM REGAL'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT BRINGS FORMER NXT CHAMPION BACK

William Regal opened tonight's episode of WWE NXT saying that after everything that went down at Takeover: In Your House, he realizes that he has given the fans everything he has as General Manager and doesn't believe that he has anything to give them anymore.  The implication was that Regal was going to resign his commission, but before he was able to do so, WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Scarlett came to the ring.

Kross began belittling Regal, demanding that he admit Kross was right and that Regal needed to walk up the aisle and be done.  

At this point, Samoa Joe made his NXT return, coming to the ring and said that he believed Regal wanted to speak to Joe.    Regal said that he believed that everyone deserved a General Manager that can hold the position with dignity and respect.  He asked Joe to become the new GM of WWE NXT.  Joe then told Regal his answer was absolutely not.  He said that he knows the position has worn on Regal and made his weary but for seven years, Regal transformed this promotion out of obscurity and make it a global phenomenon.  Joe said he cannot accept the position, but he always understood that he made Regal's life hell when he was part of NXT.  However, he always showed Regal respect and he would be happy to make sure Regal gets the respect he deserves from everyone.  

Regal said that if Joe was to take that role, he could not be a competitor and could not lay his hands on anyone "unless provoked."  Joe accepted the offer.
