FIVE MAJOR NAMES PULL OFF DEBUT OF MEXICO'S FEDERACION WRESTLING

By Oliver Taylor on 2021-06-14 20:18:00

Andrade, Bestia del Ring, Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Rush have all withdrawn themselves from Federación Wrestling’s debut pay-per-view on June 19.

Andrade announced his withdrawal from the show on Twitter, while Rush made the announcement on behalf of La Facción Ingobernable.

Andrade’s tweet, translated via DeepL, reads: “For all the people of Mexico City I want to inform you that this Saturday 19th of June, I WILL NOT BE PRESENTING at this event, I did not reach a good agreement with this new company. I hope to see you soon and I wish you a good start of the week.”

Needless to say, the sudden withdrawal of the company’s top stars throws the entire pay-per-view into disarray.

The main event of the show was scheduled to be Andrade, Bestia del Ring, Rush and a surprise partner versus Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, Matt Taven and PJ Black. Dragon Lee was scheduled to team with Bandido against Fénix and Pénta El Zero M while Kenny King was scheduled to compete in the Torneo Copa Federación Wrestling one-night tournament.

The event is set to be cancelled tomorrow or on Wednesday, per lucha libre expert Rob Viper.

All Elite Wrestling’s Red Velvet and Tay Conti were also scheduled to wrestle on the show.
