JAKE SOMETHING VS. MANCE WARNER & MORE: 6/11 AAW CRUSH AND DESTROY REPORT

By Jeremy Boone on 2021-06-13 08:30:00

AAW: Crush and Destroy - 6/11/21 - 115 Bourbon Street, Marionette Park

440 Strong returned back to 115 Bourbon Street as Tyler Volz & Joe Dombrowski called the action for Crush and Destroy.

The show opens from footage outside earlier as La Sociedad Boricua (Axel Rico & Rico De La Vega) arrives at the building only to be interrupted by Mat Fitchett through a brief sparing of words.  La Sociedad Boricua are extremely charismatic and have been a fun part of AAW since the return of AAW's ALIVE events through the past several months.

Hakim Zane / Ace Austin / Madman Fulton vs Dante Leon / Travis Titan / Myron Reed

Just fresh from a recent showing of losing their tag team championships (Ace Austin & Madman Fulton) and Myron Reed taking Zane's Heritage Championship, the trio pull a victory over Leon, Titan and Reed in a fun match with Reed always showing why he's one of the best high flyers today.

Winners: Hakim Zane, Ace Austin & Madman Fulton in 12:21

After the upsetting loss due to a miscue between both Travis Titan and Dante Leon, there was an unexpected turn of events as Travis Titan assaulted his friend in the middle of the ring.

Infamy backstage gives warning to their opponents tonight of the tag team champs of SGC (Justice & Manders).  Last time at ALIVE, they left the tag champions laying there with their belts.  This time, with belts on the line they promise to take the championship belts home with them.

Storm Grayson vs. Davey Vega (w/ John E. Bravo & Hartenbower)

John E. Bravo, representing his stable of future champions, introduces us to his client, Davey Vega.  After a few minutes of Davey Vega against the ropes, Hartenbower distracts the ref enough for Vega to hit the low blow and brainbuster for the win.

Winner: Davey Vega (w/ John E. Bravo & Hartenbower) - 3:05

As Davey Vega leaves the ring, John E. Bravo stays in the ring and introduces the "Future AAW Women's Champion, Allie Katch"

Allie Katch (w/ John E. Bravo & Hartenbower) vs. Alison Kay

Allie Katch, feeling confident in her serious ways goes up against Allison Kay, the women's veteran who has been demanding respect and a shot for the AAW Women's Championship.  The two women brought their all against each other and each looked like they were only a move or two away from winning.  After attempted interference with John E. Bravo setting a chair up in the corner ropes, Allison Kay takes advantage of a miscue to irish whip Allie Katch head first into the steel chair in order to take the win

Winner: Alison Kay - 14:58

Backstage, we see Fred Yehi talking about the last time he was here, he made a man bleed.  He sees himself in his opponent, Daniel Garcia, so he likes him.  But instead he's going to focus on destroying him.  Fred gives a warning once again to Mance Warner and tells him that there will soon be raging war and coming for the AAW Heavyweight Champion.

Mat Fitchett vs. Josh Alexander

Mat Fitchett, the previous AAW Tag Team Champion currently on his singles run, gets put up against the returning AAW Heavyweight Champion, Walking Weapon Josh Alexander.  These two brought the best out of each other and I HIGHLY recommend going out of your way to watch this match.  As Josh Alexander was close to getting Mat Fitchett to tap out, the timekeeper kept announcing the remaining time left.  The time limit expired and the referee rules the belt a draw!  The crowd was on their feet and continued to chant for 5 more minutes.

Result: Time Limit Draw

As the two caught their breath in the ring, Ace Perry comes out with Xavier Walker letting them know that Ace Perry could beat anybody up in AAW.  Walker takes the mic and tells both Alexander and Fitchett to wrap things up and get out of the ring so the next person that walks through the curtain can answer their open challenge.

It is answered by Russ Jones!!!  He is accompanied by Chuck E. Smooth who directs Jones to kill Xavier Walker.  After a spear to Walker, Ace Perry and Xavier Walker run out through the crowd as Russ Jones mountains over the ring.

Backstage we come across Jake Something who believes that the AAW Heavyweight title belongs to him and this time, the title is coming home with him and this is his warning to Mance Warner.

AAW Tag Team Championship Match

InFAMy (Joeasa & Deonn Rusman) vs. SGC (Manders & Matthew Justice) (c) - 12:37

Last time these two teams faced, glass was broken, the bar was destroyed, weapons were used and blood was spilled.  After interrupting SGC during the previous ALIVE show, these men have a score to settle.  Violence is what they wanted and violence is what the crowd got.  Action spilled immediately into the crowd and finally back into the ring.  As Matthew Justice had Joeasa defeated and down for the three count, the match was broken up by a third man!   Tyler Volz on the mic recognizes him as Robin Steele, who took of his black shirt to reveal his alliance with inFAMy.  All three members pin Matthew Justice to take the championship!

Winners & NEW Tag Team Champions: inFAMy

AJZ vs. Schaff

Both AJZ and Schaff, newcomers to AAW get to show the crowd how they both belong in AAW.  Schaff has been on a warpath during the recent ALIVE shows.  AJZ showed much more fight than many in the crowd anticipated.  Unfortuantely he did not have enough in his tank to defeat Schaff.

Winner: Schaff - 9:33

Backstage Hakim Zane warns Myron Reed that time is ticking, because that Heritage Championship is around the wrong waist.  Since he is not the champion anymore, Zane warns that he has nothing to lose and everything to gain... so with that mindset he better watch out in July to get his rematch for the Heritage Championship belt.

Kris Statlander lets everybody know that their leader is back, so be prepared to be in the presence of the galaxy's favorite alien.

Fred Yehi vs. Daniel Garcia

The debuting Daniel Garcia stands his ground and has an impressive showing against Fred Yehi.  Unfortunately Garcia was unable to resist tapping out to Fred Yehi.  A stiff match between these two.

Winner: Fred Yehi - 11:58

AAW Women's Championship Match

Hyan vs. Kris Statlander (c)

For the first time in 16 months, due to both injury and COVID, we get our AAW Women's Champion back to a crazy ovation by the Chicago crowd!  Hyan has been showing AAW over the past year that she is deserving to have the challenge to the AAW Championship.  The crowd is split between the two.  With a surprising Big Bang Theory, Kris Statlander pins Hyan and retains the AAW Women's Championship!

Winner and STILL Champion: Kris Statlander - 10:26

AAW Heavyweight Championship Match - Jake Something vs. Mance Warner (c)

Jake Something came into this match knowing he is the best that AAW has and shows the crowd with early dominance why he is deserving of the AAW Championship.  Early on the two brawl through the crowd only to return to the ring bringing in additional weapons among the likes of chairs and wooden doors.  Both brought everything they had and Mance Warner was able to keep fighting on to retain the AAW Champinship!

Winner and STILL Champion: Mance Warner - 20:31

Post Match (unaired) Mance Warner grabs the mic and lets the people know how much they love him and how much he loves this crowd and company.  We get the chants of AAW as Mance Warner walks his title to the back.

AAW returns next with ALIVE on twitch.tv/aawpro on 6/19!
