CRAZZY STEVE VS. DEANER & MORE: BTI - BEFORE THE IMPACT REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2021-06-10 20:00:00

This week's edition of BTI - Before the Impact on AXS TV opened with Jon Burton, Josh Mathews and Gia Miller welcoming everyone to the event.

They discussed Moose vs. Kenny Omega this Saturday at Against All Odds.  They showed footage from last week's Moose vs. Sami Callihan match, followed by Scott D'Amore telling Don Callis that Tony Khan would be coming to Impact.

The hosts announced whether Sami Callihan should be added to the Impact title bout at the PPV.  Gia Miller argued that he should but Mathews argued against it.

They looked back at last week's Knockouts Tag Team Championship bout.

They announced Rachael Ellering would be on Tenille Dashwood's All About Me show.

They aired a classic Sting vs. Bobby Roode bout.

The George Iceman "scoop" is that Ace Austin was contacted about a role in a "major motion picture."

Crazzy Steve with Decay vs. Deaner with Violent by Design.

Crazy Steve's antics kept Deaner at bay early on.  Deaner went for a front facelock but Steve backed up to the floor.  Deaner tried to slingshot him back but Steve landed on his feet and took control.  He worked over Deaner and used a hanging headscissors over the ropes.  Deaner rolled to the floor, seeking advice from Eric Young.

When Impact returned from a commercial, Steve was working over Deaner in the corner and bit him in the face, but was caught with a Snake Eyes.  Deaner trapped him in the corner and nailed a running dropkick, driving Steve's neck into the buckles.  Deaner continued beating over Steve.  He set up Steve outside on the apron and drilled him with a running knee strike to the face.

Steve made a comeback and chased Deaner to the floor.  Deaner returned and Steve disappeared under the ring.  He returned behind Deaner, nailing a series of running elbows.  Deaner was drilled with a neckbreaker for a two count.  Deaner cut off Steve with a kick to the mid-section.  He went after Steve in the corner but was kicked off.  Deaner cut him off with a clothesline for a two count.

Steve cut off Deaner and catapulted him into the buckles and followed up with a clothesline.   He nailed a running forearm, then a cannonball in the corner for a two count.  Deaner regained control and set up Steve for a hanging DDT but Steve escaped and nailed sliding Flatliner for a two count.  They battled to the corner, where Steve kicked off a charge and went for a double underhook maneuver but Deaner drilled him.  Deaner went for a superplex but Steve blocked it.  Steve bit him on the forehead and drilled a flying DDT off the ropes for the pin.

Your winner, Crazzy Steve!
