NJPW STRONG REPORT: KOJIMA IN ACTION, A NEW ALLIANCE, AND MORE

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono and Hiroshi Tanahashi (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: TJP versus Kevin Knight

They lock up and Knight with w aist lock but TJP escapes. Knight with a take down and a front face lock. TJP with a head scissors and take down for a near fall. TJP with a wrist lock and Knight with a reversal. TJP misses a drop kick. They lock up in a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and TJP with a leg trip for a take down. Knight with a head scissors and TJP escapes. Knight puts JTP back in the head scissors but TJP escapes again. Knight with a punch and he puts TJP back in the head scissors.

TJP with a head stand to escape followed by a drop kick. TJP puts Knight in the corner and gives him some face washes but Knight with a slam for a near fall. Knight with a side head lock and he misses a drop kick when TJP holds on to the ropes. TJP with a drop kick for a near fall. TJP with a knee to the back and a reverse chin lock. TJP with a head scissors. Knight gets to the ropes to force a break. TJP with a snap mare and slingshot senton for a near fall. Knight with a chop and TJP slaps Knight. Knight with a drop kick and a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Knight goes for a Boston Crab and TJP is able to get out of the hold before it is fully applied. TJP with boots to the head followed by a cradle belly-to-back suplex and he gets a near fall.

TJP goes up top and misses a swanton. Knight with a splash into the corner followed by a snap mare and sliding clothesline for a near fall. Knight with a splash but he lands on TJP’s knees. TJP with an abdominal stretch and Knight taps out.

Winner: TJP

Match Number Two: Adrian Quest versus Barrett Brown (with Bateman)

They lock up and Quest backs Brown into the corner and gives a break. They lock up again and Brown pie faces Brown on the break and Quest pushes back. Brown misses a chop and Quest with punches in the corner. Quest with a back elbow and Brown goes to the floor. Bateman gives Brown some advice before returning to the ring and Quest with a drop kick that sends brown back to the floor. Brown returns to the ring and Quest with a springboard corkscrew splash.

Brown goes back to the floor. Quest with a forearm and Brown sends Quest to the apron and Quest falls to the floor. Brown with forearms to the back and he goes for a suplex on the floor but Quest blocks it. They return to the ring and Brown with a kick to the ribs and a boot tot he head. Brown with a chop but Quest with forearms. Brown with a clothesline for a near fall. Brown with a boot to the head and a forearm. Brown chokes Quest in the ropes and counts along with the referee. Brown with a kick to the back.

Brown with a rear chin lock with his knee in Quest’s back. Quest with a rana and he gets a near fall. Brown with a double thrust to e throat and he sends Quest to the floor. Brown with a suplex on the floor and he returns to the ring to let the referee continue his count. Quest is able to get back into the ring at nineteen as he powers up. Brown with a chop and he puts Quest on the turnbuckles. Brown with a punch and Quest with forearms and a head butt to send Brown to the mat. Quest with a springboard rana. Quest with a clothesline and back elbow. Quest with forearms and a back slid e but Brown rolls through. Quest with a back heel kick. Brown goes to the floor and Quest goes to the apron.

Quest with a running shooting star press off the apron. Quest sends Brown back into the ring and Quest goes for a clothesline off the ropes. Brown blocks it and this a clothesline for a near fall. Brown with kicks to the chest. Quest with a German suplex and round kick to the temple followed by a sunset flip for a near fall.

Brown with a kick and suplex into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Brown gets another near fall. Brown with a knee to the head and kicks to the head. Quest with a Tiger Bomb and he goes up top but Bateman gets on the apron and the distraction allows Brown to move out of the way on the twisting senton splash. Brown with a rollup and some assistance for the three count.

Winner: Barrett Brown

After the match, Quest is in the back and he says you got exactly what you wanted Barrett, a victory. Your first win. What did you have to do to win? Cheat? Have someone come to ringside with you. This ain’t over.

Fred Rosser shows up and he says that Barrett Brown stole a win over you. Rosser says he cannot stand a bully. Anywhere you need back up, I have your back.

We go to the cleaning and disinfection break.

Match Number Three: Karl Fredericks and Satoshi Kojima versus JR Kratos and Danny Limelight

Kojima and Kratos start things off. Kratos offers his hand but it is a trap to kick Kojima. Kojima with a head lock but Kratos escapes. Kojima goes for shoulder tackles but they do not move Kratos. Kratos takes Kojima down with a shoulder tackle. Fredericks tags in and he connects with forearms. Kratos misses a splash into the corner and Fredericks with punches and chops. Kratos with a punch to Fredericks and he avoids a cross body. Kratos with a kick and punch. Kratos knocks Kojima off the apron. Limelight tags in and kicks Fredericks in the ribs. Fredericks with punches and Kratos tags in and punches Fredericks in the corner.

Kratos with more punches and a front face lock and he gets a near fall. Kratos with knees to the ribs and he gets a near fall. Limelight tags in and he kicks Fredericks. Limelight with a forearm and chops. Kratos chokes Fredericks while Limelight distracts the referee. Limelight with a snap mare and he gets a near fall. Fredericks with forearms but Limelight with a knee. Limelight with another knee and he tags in Kratos. Limelight with a swinging neck breaker and Kratos gives Fredericks a suplex. Limelight tags in and Kratos sends Limelight onto Fredericks with a knee drop for a near fall.

Fredericks with a chop and Limelight with a side head lock and he tries for a suplex. Fredericks blocks it and Limelight with a back fist. Fredericks with a suplex and both men are down. Kojima and Kratos tag in and Kratos with a kick and Irish whip but he misses a chop. Kojima with Kobashi chops followed by the Irish whip and forearm into the corner. Kojima goes up top and hits an elbow drop for a near fall.

Kojima with forearms and a rolling elbow. Kratos with a power slam and a dead lift suplex for a near fall. Kratos slaps Kojima and then they exchange forearms. Kojima blocks a few clotheslines and he kicks Kratos and hits a cutter. Kojima gets a near fall. Limelight tags in and he connects with forearms and kicks followed by a back fist. Kojima with a clothesline. Fredericks tags in and he connects with forearms and chops. Limelight with forearms. Fredericks with a European uppercut and back breaker. Fredericks with an elbow into the corner followed by an elbow from Kojima. Kojima with a chop and Irish whip to Fredericks for a spinebuster and a near fall.

Kratos sends Kojima to the floor and follows. Kratos chokes Kojima on the floor. Limelight with a springboard double stomp to the back for a near fall. Limelight sets for a fisherman’s suplex but Fredericks escapes. Limelight with a back heel kick and Fredericks with a slap and a single leg crab and Limelight taps out.

Winners: Satoshi Kojima and Karl Fredericks

After the match, Fredericks kicks Limelight and Kratos attacks Kojima. Kratos with forearms to Kojima but Kojima fires back. Security has to separate both men but that does not work for Kratos. Kojima goes after Kratos and they are finally separated.
