TONY KHAN TALKS TO VARIETY, SHAQ RETURNING TO THE RING AND MORE

Last night's episode of Impact Wrestling ended with Scott D'Amore announcing AEW President Tony Khan would return next week to potentially set up Kenny Omega vs. Sami Callihan vs. Moose at the Against All Odds PPV on 6/12.

Khan was interviewed by Variety today about different trends that have impacted not just AEW but football and soccer over the last year and going forward at this link.    On the different relationships the company has with other wrestling promotions, Khan said, "A lot of AEW wrestlers hold belts in other companies. It’s great for us, it expands our reach, and it shows what great wrestlers we have.”

Shaq stated on Inside the NBA last week that he'll be returning to the wrestling ring "this summer" so it would appear that he'll be making his return AEW appearance within a few months.  Perhaps he'll explain why he disappeared from that ambulance, which was a Shaq idea that AEW decided to go with in order to leave a bit of a cliffhanger as to where he went.
