We are immediately treated to highlights of last week's main event, when Rhett Titus and Tracey Williams successfully defended the ROH World Tag Team Championship against the OGK. Quinn McKay with a few words with the champions. The Foundation show nothing but respect for Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. The champions will be invoking their Pure Rules Stipulation to each and every title desense they have from here on in.
Back at the desk, Quinn welcomes us and previews the night's main event, an 8 Man Tag Team between VLNCE UNLTD and the Foundation.
Joe Keys vs LSG
Important stipulation here. As these 2 were the winners of the Rankings Battle Royal from 2 weeks ago, this match will guarantee the winner and spot in either the TV Title or Pure Title rankings, whichever they so choose. Absolutely love LSG's new attitude, not heel, not babyface, just determined as all heck.
Code of Honor adhered to and Keys applies a headlock. LSG escaped with a go behind. Keys with a leg sweep and a backslide, LSG flips over it and tries a rockabyebaby toss but Keys escapes. We get an old fashioned lockup. They make the corner and Keys with a chop, LSG laughs him off. Another lockup and, this time, it's LSG with chops in the corner. Sunset flip and a dropkick by LSG. LSG with snap mare and tries a codebreaker but Keys catches him and nails a powerslam as we go to commercial.
I love seeing Ric Flair and David Marquez in commercials together.
We're back and Keys with a surfboard. He drives the boot into LSG's back. LSG counters but Keys with a German Suplex for 2. Keys tries a Boston Crab but LSG makes the ropes. Back elbow by LSG. Springboard forearm for 2 by LSG. Cravate by LSG. Kick to the midsection and neckbreaker for 2 by LSG. Another cravate by LSG and Keys counters with a bodyslam. LSG with a rockabyebaby slam into a Muta Lock, Keys makes the ropes. Keys with a reverse of a small package into a vertical suplex. They exchange rollups until LSG scores the pin with a crucifix.
WINNER: LSG
Post match Code of Honor adhered to as LSG celebrates.
Quinn McKay tracks down LSG backstage. Impressed with Joe Keys and the Foundation, LSG chooses to be ranked in the Pure Division
We see highlights from a few weeks ago when Silas Young turned on his protege Josh Woods, laying him out with a steel chair against Dalton Castle. We then see highlights of their recent match, won by Young with a feetfull of ropes. Backstage, Quinn confronts Young over his cheating. Woods gets in his face and Young brags he can beat him in a Pure Rules match, which is announced for next week.
Survival of the Fittest begins next week.
VLNCE UNLTD backstage with a stern warning for tonight's opponents. The Foundation retort in kind.
The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Jay Lethal, Rhett Titus and Tracey Williams) vs. VLNCE UNLTD (Brody King, Homicide, Fred Yehi and Chris Dickinson)
Code of Honor reluctantly adhered to. Kenny King has joined Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman on the commentary booth. ROH World Champion Rush is serving out a one month suspension. This bullet point time
WINNERS: VLNCE UNLTD
We go to credits after a preview of Survival of the Fittest.
