5/26/21 Results from New Japan's Road to Wrestle Grand Slam from Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan:
"The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada comes to the ring in his street clothes. He addressed the crowd telling them that he feels better. Okada was one of the wrestlers who tested positive for COVID-19. He said that despite Wrestle Grand Slam at the Tokyo Dome being postponed, he is ready to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
Yota Tsuji vs. Shingo Takagi
Takagi hit Tsuji with two pumping bombers. Tsuji looked stunned. Takagi hit him with multiple elbows and locked in a side sleeper hold. The referee checked Tsuji and called for the bell.
Shingo Takagi gets the win.
It looked like Tsuji was out on his feet so Takagi ended the match with a sleeper rather than one of his big power finishers.
Master Wato, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Taiji Ishimori, Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi
Tanahashi gets the submission win on Takahashi with a Texas Cloverleaf.
DOUKI and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga, with Jado
Really good match! G.O.D. hit their big moves on Suzuki-Gun, but they kept kicking out. Tama Tonga and ZSJ battled on the floor. Tanga Loa powerbombed DOUKI. Tanga goes for the pin but pulls up DOUKI. Tanga hits another powerbomb. He pulls DOUKI up again. Tanga goes for a third powerbomb. Tanga screams "Taichi, this could have been you!" He hits a Last Ride powerbomb on DOUKI. Tanga Loa gets the pin.
G.O.D. attack ZSJ and hit a Magic Killer on him. G.O.D. stand over DOUKI and ZSJ. They repeat that "this should have been you Taichi!"
This was hype for their future Tag Team Title defense, which has yet to be determined.
Tomoaki Honma and Kota Ibushi vs. Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb
Ibushi and Cobb are staring daggers at each other. O-Khan and Honma motion to them to ring apron and that they would start the match. O-Khan overpowered Honma and beat him down. Ibushi attempted to save but he would get thrown to the floor. United Empire isolated Honma and are breaking him down and making Ibushi watch. Honma hits a DDT on O-Khan and makes the hot tag. Ibushi stuns O-Khan with a high kick and a standing moonsault. Cobb stops Ibushi's rally by launching him into the air, O-Khan catches him and slams him into the mat. Cobb spears Ibushi into the turnbuckle. He hits him with a running vertical suplex. Two count. Ibushi stuns Cobb with a Frankensteiner and tags in Honma. Honma with a flying Kokeshi on Cobb. Two count.
Cobb catches Honma coming off the ropes and hits a spinning back suplex. Ibushi breaks up the pin. Ibushi and Cobb throw kicks and punches. Ibushi tries for a high knee but misses. Cobb tries for a school boy but Ibushi rolls out. As he comes out of the roll, Cobb blasts Ibushi with a Kamigoye. Ibushi is knocked senseless face first on the mat. O-Khan and Cobb hit a double kick to Honma. O-Khan throws Honma into the arms of Cobb who hits a Tour of the Islands.
Cobb pins Honma.
Ibushi lies dazed on the mat while Cobb talks trash. O-Khan drags Ibushi next to Honma. United Empire poses for the audience over their fallen opponents.
Honma and Ibushi need to be help out of the ring.
YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. SANADA and Tetsuya Naito
Both teams were evenly matched until Naito attacked Goto's left arm. LIJ worked over Goto by attacking his left arm with submissions. Goto countered with a neckbreaker and made the tag to YOSHI-HASHI. YOSHI-HASHI attacked the neck of Naito with a Headhunter and reverse neckbreaker. SANADA tagged in and tried to get YOSHI-HASHI in the Paradise Lock but was unable to get it on. YOSHI-HASHI tagged out to Goto. Goto and SANADA started throwing punches and chops. Too much to recap here. Goto dropped SANADA with an ushigaroshi. Both men tagged out and Naito began throwing elbows into YOSHI-HASHI's head. YOSHI-HASHI powerbombed Naito. SANADA entered the ring to double team YOSHI-HASHI. Fast paced action here. Awesome match. YOSHI-HASHI tried to hit Kharma on Naito. SANADA and Naito double teamed YOSHI-HASHI. Naito pins YOSHI-HASHI with a Jackknife pin.
After the match, Tetsuya Naito calls out the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Champions to defend their titles against Los Ingobernales de Japon. YOSHI-HASHI comes to ringside and takes the mic. He was about to speak when BUSHI attacks him and all LIJ members stomp on YOSHI-HASHI. Goto comes to make the save. YOSHI-HASHI takes the mic again and accepts the challenge.

Jeff Cobb vs. Kota Ibushi
Los Ingobernales de Japon vs. CHAOS for the NEVER Openweight 6-man Championship.
Guerillas of Destiny vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
Also, Kazuchika Okada and Shingo Takagi have set their sights on the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
