WHEN OUR SHADOWS FALL STAGE IS SET: 5/25 NWA POWERRR REPORT

After the beautiful rendtion of "Into the Fire" concludes, Joe Galli and Velvet Sky welcome us to tonight's edition of Powerrr.  Tim Storm is on assignment so NWA TV Champion Da Pope joins them for commentary.  They throw it to Kyle David who brings out NWA World Tag Team Champions Aron Stevens and Kratos.  These guys, while champions, clearly don't get along.  Stevens reminds us that he hired Kratos as a mercenary.  There's no delusion on his part, he just wants things do the right way.

NWA World Tag Team Championship: Aron Stevens and Kratos (Champions) vs. The War Kings (Crimson & Kax Dane)

I'm actually surprised this match is on tonight's show.  After The War King's victory last week, I'd assumed this match would take place on the upcoming PPV, When The Shadows Fall, on June 6.  Stevens and Crimson start things off but Kratos blind tags himself in.  Dane tags in and they go nose to nose. I'd forgotten that Dane is a former NWA world's Champion.  They trade blows and Kratos drives Dane back into the corner but Dane reverses the whip and hits a big clothesline.  Kratos answers back with a short arm clothesline.  Dane drives him into his corner and tags in Crimson.  War Kings with double team clotheslines and Crimson scores a 2 count.  Kratos with a right hand and tags in Stevens.  Back elbow by Crimson for 1 followed by some ground and pound.  Dane tags in and he nails a shot to the ribs of Stevens.  Snap mare by Dane and he stomps down on Stevens.  Headbutts to the midsection by Stevens have no effect as Crimson tags in and they hit a double back elbow for 2.  Rear chinlock by Crimson, he tags in Dane.  Suplex by Dane but Crimson misses a 2nd rope elbow.  Kratros tags in and takes out both War Kings.  Kratos with a deadlift suplex.  Dane tries to attack but is held back by the referee.  While they argue, an unknown man in a mask emerges and nails Crimson with brass knuckles.  Kratos scores the pin.

WINNERS: Aron Stevens and Kratos (retain championship)

Our World's Champion limbers up for his exhibition match.  He is sick of Kyle Davis' gossiping about Strictly Business.  Aldis is very unhappy to find out that Trevor Murdoch will be in tonight's #1 Contender's Battle Royal.

Non Title: Nick Aldis (NWA World's Champion) vs. Matthew Mimsn (5:00 time limit exhibition)

Aldis just comes off like such a bonnafide star.  Lockup, headlock by the champion, he nails Mims with forearms.  Mims with a kick to counter a back drop, he follows up with a bodyslam. Splash by Mims for 2.  Pope shouild be watching this carefully as he's 3 title defenses away from cashing in the Lucky 7 for a World's Title shot.  Aldis with a tombstone piledriver and a top rope elbow.  Aldis slaps on the Cloverleaf and Mims has no chpice but to tap out.

WINNER: Nick Aldis

Kamille w/Taryn Terrel vs. Thunder Rosa w/Melina in a #1 Contenders Rematch.  If Rosa loses, she is barred from wrestling or MMA in any company other than the NWA. (20:00 time limit)

Given Serena Deeb's return last week on Dynamite, I'm really hoping the winner here gets the title shot on 6/6.  These 2 had a banger at thr last NWA PPV.  THey go face to face, Kam ille with a shove. Rosa with a takedown she works the ankle and then tries to hook the arm.. Kamille with a snap mare escape. Go behind take down by Rosa, she goes back to work on the legs.  Kamile gets back to her feet and applies a side headliock, Rosa with a headscissors escape and a front facelock.  Rosa tries a rollup.  That's unsuccessful so she applies a surfboard. Shr rolls up Kamille again but Kamille escapes.  Rosa takes her down again and applies a body scissors.  Rosa with an amateur roll into a single leg crab.  Kamille tries to grab the hair but punches out.  Rosa immediately reapplies the half crab, Kamille makes the ropes.  Leg kicks by Rosa she follows up with a bulldog .  She goes for a dropkick in the corner but Kamille evades it and sends her into the middle buckle.  A hard whip into the turnbuckle by Kamille.  Kamille with a double hammerlock.  She nails rosa with forearms to the chest and clubs her down.  Stomp by Kamille, she applies a surf board of her own.  Rosa tries to power out but she eats a clothesline. Backbreaker by Kamille, she immediately hits another and then clubs forearms to Kamille's midsection. Kamille fires away in the corner.  Kamille with a vertical snap suplex, Rosa tries to fire back but Kamille shuts it down.  Powerslam by Kamille for 2. 

This match is awesome.

Rosa fires away with chops.  She tries for a running cross body but Kamille catches her and applies a Northern lights.  She sets Rosa up on the top and tries a superplex.  Rosa blocks it and hits a sunset flip powerbomb.  Both women are down.  Terell tries to interfere but the camera goes blurry as, apparently, we've had a wardrobe malfunction.  She and Melina fight until referee Robert King ejects them both.  The action spills to the outside and Rosa sends Kamille into the broadcast booth and stretches her on the post.  Rosa slams Kamile 3x into the apron and rolls her back in for 2.  Top wristlock takedown by Thunder Rosa, she scores a 2 count. She's trying for a cross armbreaker

Kamille with a kneelift but Rosa slams her in the corner and nails a double knee in the corner, Kamille is in all kinds of trouble.  Dropkick to the back by Rosa for 2.

I repeat, this match is awesome.

Chinlock by Rosa but Kamille puts Rosa on her back and slams her down.  Kamille sets up the spear as Melina runs to the apron.  Kamille with a clothesline to Melina lays her out. Rosa with a rollup for 2.Rosa ties up Kamille's arm in the corner and fores away at her midsection.  Rosa goes for the Octopus and rubs her forearm across Kamilles face.  Rollup by Rosa for 2.  Kamille with a pump kick.  Kamille drops Rosa. Rosa fires back.  Rosa with a cross armbreaker, Kamille lifts her up for a slam.  Kamille with a forward roll and sets up the spear.  She nails it but Rosa breaks up the count at 2 with her foot on the ropes.  Rosa with a rollup for 2.  Arm wrench by Rosa and the bell rings.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Draw

What this means for the future of both women is unclear.

If ever a match needed overtime, this is it.  Rosa checks on Melina

I'll keep up as best I can.  Over the top rope is unnecessary as long as one foot touches the floor. Sal Rinauro is out quick.  Murdoch works over Adonis, JEremiah Plunkett in eliminated.  LAttimer and Adonis work over Murdoch.  Mims has been eliminated.  Galli informs us that 10 men are left.  Slice Boogie gets thrown out.  Crimson headbutts Rosser and then eliminates him.  Tyrus eliminates Clearwater.  Pope comes out to help elimate Tyrus.  Way too fast to keep up with.

We're down to 3.  Murdoch, Lattimer and Adonis.  Murdoch is getting pummeled with double team punches and kicks as Galli speculates the fear Aldis has for Murdoch.  Murdoch sends both Adonis and Lattimer over the top for the win after a miscue

WINNER: Trevor Murdoch (earns an NWA Title shot on June 6th).

Nick Aldis attacks bus eats a back elbow. Murdoch fires away and hits a top rope bulldog. Aldis is left laying.  Kyle Davis tries to get in a question.  Murdoch warns Aldis that he'll be ready for the match of his life.
