There was a brief call with WWE Human Resources at the end of the day, confirming what PWInsider.com had reported this afternoon, that everyone who remained in the Advanced Media Group/digital divisions would now report to Kevin Dunn in the television department, We are told that was very much the entire call.
The demise of the AMG as it existed has been taken really hard by those who worked there as this came out of nowhere for those in that division, especially since it was a division that grew greatly in importance and revenue for the company over the course of the pandemic.
There was also something of a "gallows humor" joke going around among some who were let go today, pointing out that just in the last week, the company had sent an internal email out offering bonuses for employee referrals and now perhaps, they should just refer themselves to get their jobs back and the bonus in the process.
