With the WWE Network (in the USA) moving exclusive rights over to Peacock, what is the purpose (or fate) of the WWE App going forward? Just news alerts? I never used it other than for the WWE Network.

In the US yep, that is basically what it is, a version of the website.

Has there been any new info emerge on the release of Samoa Joe? Did he want to wrestle but couldn't get cleared by WWE? Or maybe WWE only wanted him to commentate but he wanted to wrestle again (a la Randy Savage in 1994)?

He was out rehabbing an injury so they moved him to the announce booth.

If you went back to the Spring/Summer of 2020 and there was no covid-19, would Tony Khan still have opened the forbidden door with NWA, Impact and NJPW? Its almost as if the virus has given us this surreal wrestling phenomenon but I also don't if it was in the plans as of late 2019 either.

I can’t say either way but if I had to guess, I would go with yes.  The cross pollination could have been something that sold tickets to shows and it seems like something Tony Khan wants to do.

The question I've got it what is it with Vince McMahon and having talent wrestle under their last name? Especially when they didn't either when they were in developmental or when they debuted on the main roster such as Neville (Pac,) Cesaro and now Riddle.

It’s just something he likes, for whatever reason.  It also seems to happen with people he doesn’t see top potential in.  It doesn’t make sense to me.

Now that the NHL is moving away from NBC, what was the point of USA moving NXT to Tuesdays now anyway.

I think it was to put the show in a position to mean more to NBCU.  They knew how much interest they had, or didn’t have, in bringing the NHL back.  Moving NXT to Tuesday gives USA a better chance of drawing a better audience for the show, which is better for them overall as a network.  They committed to it by giving WWE a new, reasonable deal on it so they are now trying to maximize the audience for the show.
