Who do you think the Diamond Mine is that was featured on NXT TV this week?
I don't know that it is a WHO. It came off to me like it was featuring a concept or a group.
Why is WWE making so many changes lately behind the scenes?
As I wrote a few weeks ago, it's Nick Khan's world now. He has been given great power and leeway to shape the corporate end of the company as he sees fit. He's bringing in a ton of people from CAA, the power broker agency where he worked, and is basically going to use those who speak the Hollywood language to integrate and sell WWE to on a broader, larger plane to the Hollywood and sports worlds. He intends to take the company into a much more mainstream existance. He's essentially taking over the film studio and when you do that, you put your own team in place because you can't take credit for the work of the old guard - if something goes wrong, it's on you for allowing that and if it goes right, it's still not your baby. He's making WWE his baby and has Vince McMahon's express permission to do so in a way that previous Presidents have not been given.
I seem to remember a WCW team called The Extreme? Were they ECW guys?
Yes and no but not really. The team was Devon Storm (later to known as Crowbar) and Ace Darling. Storm did work for ECW but only for a short time. Darling, a truly underrated talent, did not.
Jim Ross said on his podcast AEW will be touring by July. Is that still the plan?
We are told the company hopes to be back on the road this summer but it's all contingent on the pandemic obviously. Lots of touring entities are in the same boat, waiting at the starting line but not knowing if the starting pistol will go off or not.
Are WWE referees subject to the Wellness Policy?
100% yes. They are tested randomly just like talents would be.
