El Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre informa que a partir del día de hoy, la alianzaestratégica que sostenía con la empresa estadounidense Ring of Honor desde el año 2016 llega a su final. pic.twitter.com/IQsq5NyoqA
CMLL has worked with ROH since 2016, with the likes of Matt Taven gaining major exposure in Mexico through the relationship.
However, some of ROH’s top stars have left CMLL on sour terms in recent times. Dragon Lee and Rush were publicly fired by the company in September 2019 and CMLL also announced Bandido will not wrestle on future shows earlier this month.
The news also comes as Rush’s new promotion, Federación Wrestling, is set to make its debut in June. Bandido and Taven have both been confirmed for the show and the company has teased some big stars will appear at the show. Silhouettes on a graphic posted on Twitter strike an uncanny resemblance to Andrade (the top middle render) and ROH’s Kenny King (the top right render).
