VIOLENCE UNLIMITED VS. LA FACCION: RING OF HONOR TV REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2021-04-25 16:46:00

Quinn McKay welcomes us to this week’s edition of ROH TV.  Quinn tells us about or main event: La Faccion Ingobernoble, tonight consisting of Rush, Kenny King and La Bestia del Ring taking on the debuting Violence Unlimited, Brody King’s new group of ROH’s past present and future (himself, Homicide, The Dirty Daddy Chris Dickinson and Tony Deppen). Tonight, it’s Brody, Dickinson and Homicide as the trio.

Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman have the call of tonight’s action.

Dak Draper vs. Eli Isom

Code of Honor is adhered to and we have a lockup and a clean break in the corner.  Series of Standing Switch reverals, Draper forces things into the corner.  Isom leaps over a charge and slaps on a side headlock.  Draper throws him off hits a shoulder block.  He goes for another but Isom with a dropkick.  Isom goes for a Stinger Splash but Draper catches him and tosses him across the ring.  Draper stomps Isom.  Isom fights back with elbows, an uppercut, but he misses an enziguiri.  Back elbow by Draper.  With wrist control, he hits a series of standing shoulderblocks.  Isom catches him with a forearm and attempts a springboard cross body.  Draper catches him but Isom rolls into an arm drag. He dives but Draper catches him with a stun gun.  Draper goes for a Dr. Bomb but Isom counters with a hurancanrana.  Draper attacks the back as we go to commercial.

We’re back and Draper is attempting calf crusher.  Instead, he deadlifts Isom and throws him to the ground.  Ian Riccaboni informs up that Dak has petitioned the ROH Board of Directors to move from the Pure rankings to the TV Title rankings.  Ripcord Northern Lights suplex by Isom.  Isom nails a charge and a knee strike.  Draper rolls out and Isom nails a moonsault off the 2nd rope.  Isom rolls him back in and hits a cross body for 2.  Small package by Draper for 2.  German suplex and bridge by Isom for 2.  They exchange forearms and chops.  Dr. Bomb by Draper for 2. Draper with a springboard elbow but Isom with a rollup for 2.  Vistory roll by Isom for 2. They exchange blows until they both fall to the ground.  The bell rings as the time limit has run out.

RESULT: Draw

Both men plead to Joe Dandak and we have a restart.  Just before the lockup the lights go out.  Dalton Castle and “Boys” dance their way to the ring.  Bobby Cruise gives him the mic.  Dalton says how much he admires Draper and Isom and needs their help.  Dalton is chirping like a peacock.  Castle reminds them that they’re on television.  TV needs stars.  He turns to Isom and kicks him way low. He then turns to Draper and does the same.   This looks FINALLY like a return to form of the old Dalton Castle.  This has the potential to be great.

We now hear from Violence Unlimited.  I already love this group.  Homicide explains the VU doesn’t like each other (perfect explanation as to why Brody and Dickinson are not partners in NJPW) but they love to fight.  All four guys get to shine in this promo.

We see highlights from ROH Week by Week (ROH’s version of AEW Dark).  Beer City Bruiser beats Joe Keys with a DDT,  Members of the ROH Dojo come out to stop the post match beatdown, but Ken Dixon turns on his fellow ROH Young Lions.  They lay waste to the ring.  Quinn McKay interviews Dixon and Bruiser backstage. Bruiser declares Dixon his kind of man.  Not sure where this leaves Brawler Milonas.  Next week Dixon and Bruiser take on The OGK.

The Righteous (sans Vincent) come out.  We see highlights form the unsanctioned brawl at 19th anniversary.  The Righteous currently have THE best entrance music in wrestling.  Ian informs us the man who carried Vincent off at 19th Anniversary’s name is Dutch.  Bateman addresses the TV audience.  In a roundabout way, we’re told that Vincent is convalescing after the injuries.  Bateman tells us that the good work goes on.  Vita Von Starr reads a note from Vincent about his spiritual journey.

La Faccion Ingobernoble (Rush, Kenny King & La Bestia del Ring) vs Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Chris Dickinson & Homicide)

Prediction: This’ll be a classic catch-as-catch-can mat wrestling clinic.  Nah, it’s a complete brawl at the get-go but Dickinson and King seem to have made it to the ring and we’re underway.

We’re back from a quick break and King elbows Homicide off the apron.  King with a waistlock to Dickinson, the Dirty Daddy throws him off and tags in Brody King. Rush tags in and it’s pandemonium again.  All 6 guys brawl in and around the ring.  LFI gets the edge and Bestia scores a 2 after a senton to Dickinson.  Brody King nails Bestia with a chair and the referee calls for the bell.

WINNERS: La Faccion Ingobernoble (disqualification)

The Foundation come out and we’re going off the air with a three team gang warfare.
