Recently released WWE star Mickie James took to social media to reveal that the company has returned items belonging, packing them in a garbage bag:

That led to another former WWE star Maria Kanellis, now with Ring of Honor, commenting that the same happened to her last year:

Triple H later responded on Twitter, writing:
Upon learning of the disrespectful treatment some of our recently released talent received on behalf of the company, we took immediate action. The person responsible for this inconsiderate action has been fired and is no longer with @WWE.

Stephanie McMahon later responded as well, writing:
